wat is the best thing for me to do,

Welcome to the site, cograts on getting your boards to travel abroad you will need your cgfns and ielts or toefl. My recommendation is to work on a medical surgical floor at least a year if not two years. Then both Canada and the USA hospitals hire Phillipino nurses and sponser them (you need a sponser)usually for a two year period. Check with your fellow nurses I know recruiters are always in your area. Good Luck

Welcome. Go to the Phillipine Nurses Forum or the International Forum. There are people on that board that can help you. Congrats and best of luck to you in all that you do.

Hello and welcome to allnurses! Please go to the Philippine Nursing or International forum.

Dear Friend,

If you are in the PI, consider trying Guam. They very much need nurses, and you can work in an environment that has many nurses from the PI. You can see if your English skills are suficient, and also take the NCLEX here. I am not sure what your local board entails, but if you need further education, the University of Guam has a BSN program. If you enjoy the work here, you would then have experience in an American institution to put on your resume should you choose to go to the States or Canada. It might make you a more marketable product.

Best Wishes

a Guam RN

Sorry, but CGFNS is not a requiremmnet in the US to work, it doesn't give you a license, it is only a screening test.

Shortest, easiest fstest is to do the IELTS (academic branch with the speaking section) and the NCLEX exam.

Please do your homework and quite well, if you are going the route of an agency from Manila, which I do not recommend if you can afford to pay for the exams and immigration on your own. No matter what they tell you, there is no such thing as a free green card, you will be paying them $5 per hour for the length of your contract for that.

You do not need a sponsor, you need an employer to petition for you. Big difference between the two.

Please do a review of the stickies at the top of this forum and you will find all of the information that you will need to get you started.
