 Hi,

Is there anyone applying to this program that’s based in Florida in February 2021?

I’ve enrolled today and very excited to start in a few months.  With the cost of programs & how competitive it is these days; I’m glad to see an alternative out in the world!

Good Luck ? Everyone!

How long was it before your transcripts were received by them and were notified of when you could take a gap exam?  Also, their clinical rotations have been frozen.  I am concerned they will not be meeting CA BRN standards considering this....and ACEN accreditation can always be retracted...and the admissions rep keeps avoiding my emails about it even after I sent in current CA BRN requirements for this COVID period.  I have sent everything in except for my Id badge notarization. LA County is barbaric and takes up to 10 days even on electronic requests.  I am just waiting for those to be emailed.  I am waiting to get approved and see which GAP exams I am eligible to take before paying $200 to access the portal.

Hi There,

I am also interested in the ASN program here and thinking about entering in June 2021. I am also from Ca , we should create a group chat. I would love to connect, please email me at [email protected]. I am curious on how the other 50% of clinicals would work out.

Hope to hear from you soon.

I am considering going there as well because I don't live close to any bridge programs that doesn't have a waiting list.  I was curious if anyone will be working while they do this online program?  I saw on a separate thread that some people have negative things to say about the school and it made me nervous to invest my money in it and not graduate after.

I am also thinking of starting ICHS’ bridge program in Feb, but I’m on edge. Does anyone know of any individuals who have successfully completed the program? Some of the reviews about this school on here are super scary!

Thanks ?

I am also on the same boat. Some of the passing rates on the websites makes me skeptical. Being from Cali , I am thinking of entering in June 2021. If you hear about any reviews , I would love to hear from you. Please email me at : [email protected]

hi YappaYee, I am scheduled to take the APA on 01/17/21, all documents submitted and accepted. I can't wait to start. I scheduled my test couple weeks away, because I want to review pharmacology. How s everyone else doing?

Living,

Sounds great!  Everything’s “a-OK” over here, just waiting now.

Good luck on the APA, I’m rooting for you!

How detailed is the pharm part? Do we need to know antibiotic generations or side effects and contraindications?

Specializes in PRIMARY CARE.

Hi Overcast! I am not sure , one of my friend took it and she said its little bit of everything, calculations, usage and side effects. just like NCLEX.

thank you!

Does the pharm section reference generic names or do we need to know both generic and trade?  Was it mostly on well known meds or some off meds that are uncommon?  Any psych meds?  Or mostly pain/heart, etc.?   Can you give an example of a nursing fundamental question?  My school did not go by succ generic names, we had specific titles so I’m curious as to what “fundamentals” includes.  I moved my test to the 20th so I can study a little more.
Thank you again for your feedback.

For example, do we need to know specific differences between anticoagulants and anti-platelets....differences in methods of action, different contraindications, and different size effects....or would they reference just a generic situation where a blood thinner would be referenced?

Hi everyone, I am interested in this program of 2021 feb or June.  May I ask what is APA? Does anyone know if intro to philosophy OK the for the prerequisite?

Specializes in PRIMARY CARE.

Hello ViVi88, APA is Advance placement assessment, for LVNs . if you pass you basically test out of Pharmacology and fundamentals of nursing and then program is little shorter and cost is less. I think philosophy is OK but you can call the admission advisor and ask.
