 Hi,

Is there anyone applying to this program that’s based in Florida in February 2021?

I’ve enrolled today and very excited to start in a few months.  With the cost of programs & how competitive it is these days; I’m glad to see an alternative out in the world!

Good Luck ? Everyone!

Hi. I was also looking into starting in Feb, 2021. Have you taken their GAP exam for testing out of Fundamentals and Pharmacology? If so was it ATI or HESI style?

Hi,

I am actually waiting on my log-in credentials, I paid my application fee yesterday & sent transcripts - I was told that the GAP is similar to the HESI 2 (170 questions)

Cool! Do you happen to know their graduation/ retention rate?  I wonder how much more it’ll cost if deciding to continue towards a BSN or even NP. ?

I have a few friends that have graduated already and currently are holding their CA RN.  I too am thinking of the NP!  I think it’s a great alternative.

Look up "ICHS" and "gainful employment". Looks like 75%  2019 to 2020

Hi,

I am also applying to ICHS (school in Florida), sent transcripts and just need to complete the rest. For those of you in the class starting in Feb 2021 and from CA, perhaps we can create a thread on when need to travel for clinicals.  I was looking up the State requirements on clinical hours and from what I understand 50% can be virtual as in simulations and the other 50% at actual sites, therefore we will need to travel to FL. please correct me if that is not the case.

Hi,

Yes, I was told that the other day that since we are still in the whole Covid pandemic that we will be allowed to complete our simulations online, I’m also in CA.  We will get credit for the simulations BUT not full credit.  After the pandemic we would need to make up the additional hours on site!  I also asked about rotations if they were held in a “hospital setting” or “skilled nursing” and I was told both...

Hi I am finishing up my LVN program in March and hope to start this program sometime in may. I am from California as well. I was just wondering if you anyone took the GAP, did you have to fly down to Florida to take the test or can you take it in our own state ?

Hi VSU97,

Congratulations... In regards to the GAP, I have not taken it yet, but I do know that it is online. When you get the welcome email with the items needed for application, it will give you the information needed for the GAP test.  Nursing Fundamentals and Pharmacology $150.00 non-refundable.

If you pass this test, then instead of it being 15 months, it would be a 12 month program ?
