hey there yal! I'm looking around DFW areas for a good hospital to work for, and wanted to know anything about north hills hospital. I understand it's HCA owned facility, and that's all I know. From what it seems, I like the area b/c it's right between Dallas and Fort Worth.
Any info on the hospital will help a lot. Thank you!

It's a suburban community hospital that primarily serves people who live in the Northeast part of Tarrant County (Richland Hills, Watauga, Keller, Hurst, Haltom City, Bedford, etc).
The city where the hospital is located (North Richland Hills) contains a mix of working class, middle class, and upper middle class people. It is generally a safe place to live and work.
Thanks commuter! you always seem to know lot of things about areas and hospitals, etc. I also appreciate personally for answering lots of questions. I have a feeling I will love the area; also the hospital I am hoping!

Hey I just had an interview for North Hills hospital. It seems like a good hospital. Does anyone know where the best area would be to find an apartment? I am not from Texas and don't know the area at all. Thanks
There are some more apartments on Harwood at the intersection of Davis Boulevard.
There are some apartments on Maplewood Drive, between Davis Boulevard and Holiday Lane. The apartments are a little older, but they are safe and the rent is cheap. In addition, they are located only a mile or two from the hospital. There are some more apartments on Harwood at the intersection of Davis Boulevard.
Thanks for your suggestions cause I don't know Texas at all. The guy who interviewed me recommended that I get an apartment more north and said it would be about a 30-40 minute drive everyday. So I am not sure what is better. Being able to walk to work or live in a better area. I guess I will have to do research. If you have any advice that would be great. Thx:)
30 to 40 min drive???!!! everyday??? ah no no no. that is too much driving, gas, energy, even worse if you get cancelled on the way or at the parking lot. it's always better to be closer to work imo, but others might think differently

Look for apartments in North Richland Hills and nearby towns (Hurst, Watauga, Richland Hills). There's no need for a 40 minute drive, and you might need to walk to work in the winter when the roads ice over or are covered with a foot of snow.

The guy who interviewed you is attempting to stir you into a ritzier, expensive part of the county and lead you into incurring a commute when it is totally unnecessary.Look for apartments in North Richland Hills and nearby towns (Hurst, Watauga, Richland Hills). There's snow off and on, maybe 2-3 times a season, usually doesn't accumulate much or for more than a day or two. The area's good for a nasty icing off and on, some years a couple of times, some years none.
There's plenty of decent housing in NRH, no need to travel 30-40 minutes.
im lately hearing about all these horror stories about HCA as I am digging out some info about HCA hospitals. I wonder how much of them are true and how much of them are not... guess it's safe to assume that "every hospitals and units are different"?
Ok thanks everyone i will look for apartments in other areas close by. I don't want to drive 40 min everyday. As far as snow, if it snows a few times that is ok. It's already snowed here several times and i am used to driving in snow. But was def hoping to get away from that!
