Hi everyone, I've been a member here since mid september and have found this site to be one of great support. You see, I took the Nclex RN in September but did not pass. Within a few days I was ready to get back into the studying mode. I even signed up with Kaplan which I am currently attending and finds it very helpful. The problem is i just cant seem to get enough time to study due to so many things going on in my family and I just keep getting pulled in. I need to retake the exam within the next 5 weeks or so because I NEED to start working ASAP. I have made a promise to myself that starting today, my priority is studying for this exam and to basically take a backseat to the problems, none of which I can help with if I dont have a good income job. I am just asking for your prayers and your vote of confidence that I will stick to this plan and join the so many that have overcome their obsatcles and passed the exam. God bless you all and know that each and everyone of you are in my prayers everynight. It is just such a comfort knowing that there are so many caring people out there. GOD BLESS

Good approach try to get out of the house and find somewhere that you can dedicate a certain number of hours towards studying. You have the right attitude and I am praying for you. Best of luck

Make small easy to obtain goals for yourself.
1)I will score an 80% or better on a 100 question test a day, then keep testing till you get it to that goal.
2) I will score an 80% or better on the Saunders Musco Skelatal test today, then keep testing till you get that.
3) I will sit for 265 questions in one sitting today.
Every one studies different, mass amounts of questions worked for me. I did thousands in a few week span.
Best of luck~~~oh and hate to turn you away. but all nurses can be addictiing, so it may be best if you dont log on for awhile..focus on your questions, every spare minute you have should be preparing for Nclex, come visit us later, when you pass!!!

* You could also try flash cards to read in between activities.
* Tape record yourself reading from your reveiw book and then as you do dishes, laundry, etc. you are listening to your reveiw book.
* Discuss a compromise with your family and elicit their support.
* Set aside a time each day to devote to studying and let your family know that this is your time.
Good luck and I hope you find time to study and reveiw. I like Racing-Mom4's ideas too. Find what works for you. Best wishes as you study.

It is difficult to juggle work and study that is why i admire those who pass the nclex-rn exam despite this situation. i have failed my 1st attempt. i wish that we will all pass. practicing extra hard questions every time might do the trick. good luck to us.
