Any NPs currently or gave done in home assessments? If so any pros and cons and how did they pay? Hourly or per assessment?

If you already have an interview then you are good to go! Good luck! Are you applying for a per diem position or part time salaried?

Hi Carachel2!

I just had the phone interview w/ (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and it went very well! She was so nice! I applied for per diem like you and actually sited your great reviews as my motivation to join this company. She said the next steps are a 2nd phone interview (if I get it- I hope I do!!!). I'm really hoping to get this! This would greatly supplement my pay and still allow me to have flexibility in my schedule and allow me time with my family!

Any other pointers?

Thanks for all of the info! I'm REALLY hoping this comes through!

Hi Carachel2,

I just checked my online job application and it says "no longer under consideration"! Oh no! That was fast! I hope I didn't say anything wrong- I really felt like it went very well! Did this happen to you? I just e-mailed the lady I interviewed with and thanked her for taking the time to speak w/ me, that I'm hopeful... I hope I wasn't dropped from the pool!

Oh gosh, I doubt it would happen that quick. I think maybe that refers to your application status being considered for interview. Once you are done with that part maybe they pull it from the pool of those waiting to be interviewed? I sent you a PM. Let me know if you got it.

Hi Carachel2-

Sorry it won't let me PM you any more. So annoying! I just heard from the woman and it's like you said, it just removes me from the initial pool. She said she's going to move me forward for step 2 which is another phone interview. She was sooo nice. If this is what it's like up front, I'm already impressed! Now I can relax! I'll keep you posted though.

I have had several friends with these jobs and they all seem to love them. I interviewed with an agency after I graduated but decided not to take the job. I really wanted an initial job out of school where I could learn prescribing and diagnostic skills. Perhaps down the road for me. But it is a great job if you like the autonomy and independence, if you want to set your own schedule, and if you like home visits. Many of my friends who had these jobs at home health backgrounds, including hospice.

I got the job and am current going through the credentialing process. I start May 16 and 17 w/ virtual online training. I'm super excited. The pay is great (won't have an exact idea until I am actually out seeing patients) and I won't be confined to an office! Will keep you posted to let you know how it's going.

How long did they take ti process your credentialing and is the virtual training paid? I'm in the same boat.

They said the credentially taking about 20 days and I just started w/ that last week. I keep getting calls/emails from VI to send them more info which is a little annoying b/c I work long days so don't have a chance to send it until I get home or until my next day off (which for me is Monday as I'm working a 3-day weekend). Other than that, doing the TSpot and drug test was easy as well as my CAQH stuff since I already have a # so I didn't need to do that huge packet.

Where are you in the process? What state are you doing it in?

All of your training will be paid. Also they have a Summit/Conference every year and they will pay you to attend each day, pay for your flight, room and food for the whole thing too.
