usually the deadline for applications would be 2 wks after they advertise. after the deadline they would assess applications for about a month. so its really a long process.

hi my ielts already expired and i took it last month but got a 6.5 in 1 area and planning to take it again this july. would it be ok to process my visa even i have a 6.5 in my ielts form...thank you!hope for your response
Your should not be attending a school unless you have the current criteria for english standards. I know the schools have been slack in this regard. You cannot though, be a Registered Nurse without the IELTS 7.
As for getting a visa it would be best to contact the school to see if you are still in.

i already got an offer for their august intake before my ielts expired, i am scheduled to retake the exam this july, can i use my ielts with one 6.5 score to apply for my visa while waiting for my ielts test and it would take 13 days to know the result.

Good day. I am not entirely sure of your situation, but when is the start of your BP? I agree with ceridwyn that you should ask the school if need be. but if you can take ielts as soon as you can to get 7, then do that 1st. For visa, im not sure if they will carefully scrutinize your results, but i think ielts is just a supporting document. I am not sure, so let us wait for the feedback of others.;-)
God bless.

Thanks a lot, August 23 is the start of my bp. i am scheduled to take the exam on the 18th of july. im just worried that applying for a visa is a long process. the required visa is the subclass600, my ielts is just my big barrier to have a smooth flowing process in completing all the requirements. i wish i can use the one with 6.5, i still have to wait 13 days for the result.

My friend was able to apply for a visa even if she had a 6.5. She applied last April 2013. Visa was granted. I don't know if they do have a new policy about that.

yes you still can apply visa with that score. no worries and i think you may not need to take again the ielts.. the school wont ask you a copy of it when you are doing the bp,unless they asked you to,then no doubt you need to retake :)

the SC 190 visa is a state-sponsored visa. You need to apply to a state for sponsorship. Each state has their own criteria so you should check with your intended state. New South Wales (NSW) is currently closed for new application but will open this July. Also be mindful that your profession / occupation should be on that state's occupation list. Nurses are in-demand but not all specialty. You also need to have a suitable skills assessment from ANMAC before applying to a state.
Once you receive a state sponsorship (or actually even while waiting for it), you can lodge your expression of interest (EOI) to SkillSelect. Normally they will give you an invitation to lodge a visa application right away.
