This is just for the purpose of getting updated or informed and do note that nothing is absolute and in fact things are very fluid or volatile when it comes to immigration matters.

yes i do heard bad things about the advance parole I-131....
thanks
Highly recommend that you do not use the Advanced Parole, unless there is a family emergency. If you look at the I-131, it states that it does not guarantee admission back into the US. It is up to the descretion of the officer at the airport. And I have seen some that have not been approved.Ten months is too far off to make any definite plans at the moment, no one knows what will happen by then. But since you have been here so long already, suggest that you wait until you have the green card in hand to really play it safe. There are too many issues going on right now.
you are right....
i worked New Year last year but i was lucky because i work in Tour 2 day shift so i still got to celebrate New Years Eve with my relatives :balloons:
Just a quick note on the other worry. You are going to find it almost impossible to get the time off over Christmas. Unless it was in your contract when you started, you will find it extremely difficult to get approval then. It goes to those with more seniority. And with all of the overtime and holiday pay that you can earn then, you would me much wiser to work over the holidays and then use that money to pay for your trip.
When you will be able to come, your family will be able to come. Proivded that they were on your petition. As long as they are on your DS-230, they will be issued a visa at the same time as you. But since you were required to take the IELTS, I surmise that you were not born in the UK.You usualy will be the one to pay for their visas. There are some agencies that do not include family on the petition and that could be trouble for you.
The other times that family is unable to come is when the NCLEX exam has not been written and the nurse will be working in the CNA role and will not have enough money to support their family as the agencies usually pay very cheap for this, less than $10 per hour.
First question would be which agency did you actually sign with?
Hello Suzanne, thanks a lot for the reply, iam with OGP and they did say that they will provide the visa for my family and i did fill visa forms for them and have paid the money,I was born in India so do you think it will take long for me to move to us?

The issue is where you were born. Visa availability is based on birthplace and that alone. There are quite a few ahead of you in the wait. And if you notice there is even a separate classification for those from the PIC countries and Mexico with a longer wait even for the EB-3.
How far along are you in the process with them? Do you have approval on the DS-230 or are you waiting for approval of the I-140?
Hi everybody!!! Is there someone here who have heard about the W-1 temporary visa for nurses? I read it thru this website www.shusterman.com , it says it's about "Nursing Relief Act of 2007" which would create the W-1 temporary visa for nurses. What could this be all about? Any say?

But be aware of that key phrase that I used, for some countries. The number that are waiting in front of you for a visa is quite a long line. Not sure what is going to happen with those from the Philippines, or the other countries directly involved that also have longer waits for the EB-3 due to the number that have applied under that status.
That includes the Philippines, India, China, as well as Mexico.
However, nurses from Mexico do qualify for the Nafta TN Visa.
