I basically have the answers to all their questions when they have nothing to offer me. I guess this SN will have to focus here where I'm clearly outranked.
I can't help it. I stand out in class for getting the straight A correcting even the professor making everyone wonder why I know my stuff. By the time I get through nursing school, I'll probably be standing out as the one on the upper end of the grades with everyone knowing and wondering how I do what I do. I just smile about it and enjoy.
If you are so damn smart that your dumb-a$$ fellow students bother you, and that you are correcting the instructors, why are you wasting your time in nursing school??? Was medical school not challenging enough for you? If you had an ounce of brains left in your head that your ego hasn't pushed out, you might realize that you don't know everything there is to know about nursing, now or after 30 years of work. I, for one personally am afraid for your patients because your cockiness will kill someone one day instead of double checking with a fellow R.N., or calling the M.D. at 0300, no instead you are God's gift to Nursing. If only if we could all be like you.....

I recently attended a preceptor class where the instructors noted that hands down the most dangerous new hire was the one who thought they knew everything.
