U.S.A. Massachusetts

Published

Hi y'all I'm taking the test this upcoming saturday (the 1st entrance test) at Greater Lowell and I will like some advices/opinions/essays topics of those who took it already....I'm just scared about the essay because I have no idea of the topic, if there's any choice of topic and English is my second language (I know everyone keep telling me I'm doing great but..it doesn't change that much), Please if you know anyone who's going there or went there inquire for me , please!!

Will really appreciate, thanks!

P.S: How long does it take to be notify about your test results ?

LOL. I had no idea @Hurryup&work that you were a male. I guess I just assumed you were a female. IDK why!! LOL. Sorry. But Congrats again cant wait to meet ya! and @nakiwala just give them a call they told me over the phone because I waited like a month before hearing anything and got wicked anxious LOL. wish you luck.

hey guys

emailed them and told that they are running a week behind schedule,,that letters will be out today or Monday. so still anxious ,,

Ohh. You should have asked them to tell you right then and there!!!!! LOL. I asked over the phone because I was super anxious but mine took a lot longer. They were like a month and some behind with my letter. I ended up knowing a week or two before I even received the thing! Let me tell you by then I would've been bald from all the anxiety and anticipation! Ha. Well wish you luck. My fingers are crossed for you. Let us know once you receive it. :)

ooooohhhhh honeys u don't how its killing me

,,,, if it doesn't come this week am calling them,,,, let me just be alittle patient,,, thanks for the support. readg ur story gives alittle bit of comfort ,,, like they didn't forget all about me.

not so good news for me,,, was put on the waiting list,, I feel so down but nothing much I can really do about it. plan B , am gonna try to apply for masters in nursing,,, direct entry coz I have a bachelors but from a different country. so honeys am happy for all of u who got it , I will keep visiting this blog so you can let me know how things r going, wish you all the best. cheers

hey nakiwala, sorry to hear that i hope someone leave a spot for you by not paying the deposit on time, or change their mind about the program, i have a bachelor degree too let me tell its IMPOSSIBLE IN MASSACHUSETTS (trust me , i have look around for more than 2 years) to have a masters degree WITHOUT a BSN, the only option for its to go for the accelerated BSN of 16 months and even that one requires a whole bunch of prerequisites that have to be done in no less than 2 semesters...don't want to discourage you but this state is just really highly rated concerning education

oh no! I'm sorry to hear that nakiwala. Don't give up I can definitely understand that you might feel bummed and disappointed right now but if nursing is truly your passion don't give up. Maybe you should get certified as a nursing assistant in the mean time to get some exposure and to feel out if nursing is for you and on top of that having a foot in the door can definitely help you in gaining employment for an establishment that you are all ready employed by.

Sorry to hear "/ But please don't be discouraged there is still a chance. I think I have seen on here people who were wait listed but still accepted. Don't give up. I wish you lots of luck in the future.

thank u so much guys for the encouragement @Vitiana was thinking about the direct entry at regis or north eastern,,, but require GRE and obviously prequis and statistics dat I don't wanna do right now but its possible ,, its just competitive,,,.@Hurryupandwork 123 am already a CNA ,,, been one for 2 years now,, I really like it though I get emotional and wanna cry if I help people in pain or depressed but its ma passion and I think that I can do it. @Maddiex13 my dear am still keeping my fingures crossed for Gods miracle.. I really enjoy this blog ... I enjoy communicating with u guys. ok byeee for now,,,, thanx guys ,, I really appreciate.

I have to ask...

Is the grammar in these postings akin to the way your write formally? I only mention it because your applications and your ultimate success in nursing may benefit from some writing classes.

Hey BostonFNP,

No, personally speaking, the way I write here is not a direct indication of how I write in another setting (such as school or work). I don't think you have to be too formal on these sites when it comes to posting, we are just here to express ourselves any way we choose to write, and as long as we can comprehend one another thats all that matters.

Was our writing that bad? hahaha

@BostonFNP - I can personally say when writing on sites like these I am not as concerned about my grammar etc. as I would be in school or at work (in a formal setting). Like Hurryup&work said this is really just a place for us to express ourselves, talk about our experiences etc. I don't know if your comment was genuine or not but I can agree that in a formal setting and as a professional proper grammar is essential. Either way, it just kinda came off wrong, at least in my perspective.
