Thanks, I want to do my clinicals at CCF b/c I already work there. Only 15mins away from my place. Can't wait to meet everyone!

I was looking to apply to Case for the 2011 program. I was curious to know if anyone was willing to share there GRE scores. I wanted to know what I should shoot for:0) Also any other hints for increasing my changes for an interview.

Rumor is that Case has filled all of their spots and has picked five alternates for 2010.

Anyone having any luck finding scholarships, there's not much out there :(

I have been having the same issue. Looks like loans is what I will be needing to find. Wells Fargo still does private loans but the interest rate is really high. I have been told the school does a good job in the fin. aid dept to make sure we get what we need. I think what is hard is that we have to get all our money the first year.

I talked to them recently and they didn't seem they'd be much more help than anywhere else

Some one told me there is not much we can do until July. I already filed my FAFSA. I also heard that we don't get government loans for the last 12 months of the program b/c we will no longer be in classes just clinicals. YUCK!

That is true and I feel a bit worried about getting enough aid to survive the entire program. The money at CCF is not appealing enough to put up with the BS and torture they put the students thru for a few extra bucks. The current students I have spoken with say it all does work out with the fed loans and a Sallie Mae grad plus loan. I can only hope!!

Can you please give an attribution for the information about financial aid? If these problems are true, they need to be addressed long before we commit to going to a particular school, especially Case. Personally, my loans have always covered my clinical classes, the only restrictions being you have to maintain a minimum number of credit hours- generally defined as at least part-time. Part-time is up to the school to decide. If anybody has any different understanding, please share here with attribution- isn't that what this website is supposed to be about.:yeah: Financial aid is too important to our success- we need verifiable facts we can count on before making a commitment of this magnitude, or at least I do.:twocents:

I'm guessing I will be coming out of the program with $100,000 to $120,000 in loans.

Lyela- I think we are just worried b/c lenders are not as willing to lend now-a-days and the fact that you cannot work gives you nothing to fall back on. Personally I have been saving up to prepare for this, but definitely no where near what it costs to attend Case. I am single and don't have a spouse's income or health insurance to count on either. As much as a worry about fin aid it doesn't hinder my desire to attend Case.

I haven't heard of a student dropping out of the program b/c they were unable to afford it but worriers will still worry, like myself.

Oh did anyone else receive their letter about registering for classes?

I'm single without any support and I've been saving up but I don't really know how much is enough either!

And yes I got the registration access & checked out the websites online. I also got a "wishlist" email about clinicals. Guess I need to make some decisions soon.
