Wooo Hooo I got my letter yesterday and just thought it would be great if everyone who get's their letters had a place to post. If they were accepted or not. Then we can all congratulate or console each other in one place :)
My letter said I passed the entrance exam. (LVN school) That means I got in. Woo Hoo I am still happy about that!
What did your letters say? Post it Here!
Maybe you could call nursing recruiters at the local hospitals & ask them which school's nursing program seems to be better based on the student nurses and/or recent graduates.
Have you checked with your state's BON? Maybe there's info on their website?
Good luck, and congrats! :balloons:
I got in as well to both schools I applied for. Now I need to pick the best one any suggestions on how to evaluate them. have looked at NCLEX pass rates but can only find those for one school. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks,

Hallelujah!!! Yippee!!! It's about time that I got into the program... I'm so HAPPY and EXCITED when I first recieved the congrats letter from the college. Still till this day I'm still in the state of shock - it's like winning a lotto (literally). All my friends and family are so happy for me. The hard work and persistence finally paid off but now the real challenges are coming up in August 2006.
Can someone enlighten me about nursing programs itself. I've been hearing all these scary stories from some nursing students at the college that I'm attending... they tell me that basically you'll have no life for 2+ years, you can't really work at all, classes are extremely hard esp. pharm and med/surg, usually half of the class either get kicked out or dropped out by the mid of the year, and also the nurses are usually not helpful when you're doing your clinicals. Is that all true or were they just trying to scare me for some unknown purpose?

Congrats for getting into one of the top nursing programs in the nation! I'll be starting at Rush next year, right next to UIC. We get to join the UIC gym and I'll probably be swimming there often! :)
