Wooo Hooo I got my letter yesterday and just thought it would be great if everyone who get's their letters had a place to post. If they were accepted or not. Then we can all congratulate or console each other in one place :)
My letter said I passed the entrance exam. (LVN school) That means I got in. Woo Hoo I am still happy about that!
What did your letters say? Post it Here!
DATE RECIEVED: February 28th, 2006
PROGRAM: BSN
SCHOOL: The University of Akron
STATE: OH
WHEN: August 28th, 2006
it was a direct admission letter to UA's nursing program. i still have to complete my pre-reqs during my first year and i still have to apply after my pre-reqs are completed, but i have a good chance of getting in because they'll place me in "priority" (along with other nursing students who recieved direct admission and students in the honors complex). *squee*!
Got my letter recently. The instructor/interviewer told me to expect a determination letter NO LATER THAN the middle of June 2006. Seems she told most people the same and nobody got them until the end of June. I think it was an appreciation/anticipation builder myself. 400 applied, 80 got in. I am very fortunate because you only get one chance a year here. Anyways, went for uniform fitting today (and update CPR/First aid cards). Very excited to start in August!!!!

the best advice i was given was " if you do not get in, keep trying until you do!!!!!!!!" i can not stress that enough. it works
Just received my acceptance letter yesterday...I received honors admission into a 2-year ADN program in North Carolina! This was the only nursing school I ever applied to, and I haven't taken any science prereqs. I am tingling with excitement, yet nervous at the same time! I begin in January. Good luck to all of you, and wish me the same!
Oh, since the poster before me mentioned advice, I'll do the same--those of you who are career switchers and think that you don't have a chance to get in, DON'T EVER DOUBT YOURSELF! I haven't taken any prereqs (which might make it harder, but I'm going to give my all and then some when I enroll) and just months ago, nursing school was a mere thought. I was preparing to take evening prereq classes while working. Months ago I was a middle school teacher, dealing with kids who lack a sense of respect because they weren't taught how to respect others at home. If you have strong test scores and grades from previous degrees, it can work in your favor. Don't ever give up! I didn't and now I'm one of 70 fortunate students whose lives are about to be changed! Good luck!
Program: ADN
School: Campbellsville University
State: Kentucky
Start Date: August 21st, 2006
I plan to get my BSN degree right after I get my ADN. The people here are awesome and the nursing school here really appeals to me; the staff are great and very committed. Tuition here usually cost around 20,000, not counting room and board, and I get free tuition, so I can't pass that up.
Plus I have some friends who will be attending the nursing program here as well. I intend to make many friends but it's always nice going into school already knowing people.
I'm very excited about starting. The first time I've been excited about school.. Haha.
Oh, and my class will be 40 people.
