  1. Hi, I currently work at a brand new assisted living facility. I am the Director of Nursing. We just admitted a resident that is on hospice (why? she is doing really well). My question is, any tips on doing an Interdisciplinary Care Plan? Is there a specific form I can download? i am set to have a care plan meeting with the hospice nurse this week and don't want to look like a complete idiot. :) Thanks for your help. Christine
  2. classes were from 8a-4p. i heard there are some hybrid classes now. so the schedule will be different for you. good luck.
  3. i believe it was within 8 weeks. orientation was the first week in december. the envelope was 5 x 7 and thick. that is a good indicator. i got in the first shot, but heard some of the students had applied 3-4 times. it was hard. a lot of studying, but not so much homework. i was class president, graduated with honors, took care of a husband, two kids and my home remained spotless. so if i could do it anyone can. mrs. uniacke is a great teacher and pretty much taught from the book, major was difficult, i used to record his lectures and his tests were based on that info. ms. bower's tests were off the wall, still don't know what books she was teaching from. good luck, let me know if you get in.
  4. that is a long time to wait. here in florida we can go online to the department of health and get our unofficial results in 2 days. i received my license in the mail 1 week after the test. i am surprised with california being so progressive that there is no way to find out your results sooner. good luck. my fingers are crossed.
  5. hi calif, how long do you have to wait to get your results? good luck.
  6. i just want to thank all of you on this board. it got me through school. the information on this site is invaluable. i we continue poking around in the future as i move ahead towards my rn. my computer shut off at 85 and i most certainly thought i failed. medications i never heard of, tons of SATA. it was horrible. i came home and stayed in bed the rest of the day. thank goodness for my husband, he took care of my kids and ran out to purchase me chocolate covered macadamias. two days later i found out i passed. good luck to you all and thank you again.
  7. i haven't taken mine yet. still waiting for my approval from the board to test. i have been studying for 2 months and still feel like i don't know anything. i am sure you did fine. if not - scream, cry, pull your hair and start all over again. that is all you can do. good luck.
  8. hematemesis had to be placed in an assessment catagory (ie. fluids/nutrition or elimination) i went with fluid volume deficit under the catagory fluids. thanks for all your help ladies. have a great holiday. it's sunny and hot here in florida. christine
  9. thank you for your expert opinion. this being my first one, i didn't know how to go about it.
  10. i just finished writing it and i did put it under elimination. thanks for the reassurance.
