  1. i have a TI-84 plus (silver ed.) graphing calulator. i only had it because of the math class i was taking during my senior year in highschool (and that same year i also took college chem). it's a nice calculator, but VERY expensive - close to $100. if you're taking other math classes down the road, you might want to look into getting a graphing calculator...otherwise i would just use a standard TI scientific one. and some chem professors won't allow you to use a graphing calculator, either...there is a function where you can type things into the calculator, and several students in my highschool chem class got busted for that. HTH!
  2. i'm taking intro to psych, nutrition fundamentals, medical terminology & basic statistics. w00t.
  3. i really would like to work in the pediatric oncology/hematology unit, or the PED-ER. :)
  4. i thought so. in a college chem class, they tend to go more in depth with the material. it's more challenging, tho...my chem professor was pretty touch and she expected us to know EVERYTHING. study study study when you're in that class!
  5. this made me chuckle. thanks for sharing!!!
  6. my instructors didn't have a phone policy...they would just get pissed if it rang in the middle of class. xD
  7. DATE RECIEVED: February 28th, 2006 PROGRAM: BSN SCHOOL: The University of Akron STATE: OH WHEN: August 28th, 2006 it was a direct admission letter to UA's nursing program. i still have to complete my pre-reqs during my first year and i still have to apply after my pre-reqs are completed, but i have a good chance of getting in because they'll place me in "priority" (along with other nursing students who recieved direct admission and students in the honors complex). *squee*!

  9. if you want credit for the courses you took, then you have to submit your grades. if you want to bring up your grades, you can always take them over at your new college.
  10. i've been out of chemistry for almost a year now, but i'm taking the second semester in the spring... i took college classes during my senior year in highschool, so one of the classes i took was general chemistry. i wanted to finish the second half of it, but by the time i went to sign up for classes, everything was full so i couldn't complete it. when i went to orientation, they said that the chemistry class i took @ the community college will count as the first semester of chemistry needed @ the college i'm attending in the fall. *HOWEVER* i'm really afraid that i'll won't remember as much by the time i get to my general organic and biochemistry II class in the spring, which is why i would love to be in a study group so i can brush up on previous knowledge. keep me in the loop! :)
  11. anybody have any good general/organic/biochemistry websites?
  12. classes for fall 2006: nutrition fundamentals, intro to psychology, basic statistics (+ lab), and medical terminology. classes for spring 2007: intro to general, organic & biochemistry II (+ lab), principals of microbiology (+ lab), intro to nursing, and intro ethics ( =/ )
