This is so cool I don't know if I should laugh or cry I am so HAPPY! I passed the NLN in March and was put on the wait list in April. The schools 32 spots were already filled, so I did not think I had a chance to get in, but I did. WOW I still have a few classes to take along with the nursing program as I have only been back in school since Fall 05, after getting my GED during that summer. So I am starting A&P II next week and hoping I can pass, as I have just taken A&P I this semester and only passed it with a C+. Then I will have Micro, Collage Math, and a Humanities. ARGHHHHHhh I hope I can do it all. Anyway it will be fun!:balloons:

I received an alternate letter for the ASN program this Fall. I am still really nervous!!!! I am attending Ivy Tech in Bloomington. I was told there were 10 on the alternate list and that they have noticed that there were quite a few students that were accepted to Bloomington as well as other Ivy Tech Campuses. So the hope is that there were enough students that got in somewhere closer for them and they open up a spot for me!!!! Has anyone gotten in to an Ivy Tech nursing program from being on the alternate list? I would love to hear from any of you. I just feel like I am going to get all excited going in to be fitted for my uniforms and the orientation session and then find out there wasnt a spot that opened up for me. Please pray for me!!!!!

I am so undecided, I received my acceptance to the LPN program today but I have also applied to the ADN program. I haven't received my letter from them yet, but am considering taking the LPN course and then going on to the RN program. At least I know I will be going to Nursing school this fall. :)

Hi there :) Hopefully you will be in class with me this fall! I have a friend that was on the wait list last summer and went to orientation, etc., and found out later that night that a spot had opened up - actually 2-3 people had either decided no or didn't show for orientation and that moved her up the list. So, yes it can absolutely be done!! As for being accepted elsewhere - I was accepted at Columbus, too; however, living in Martinsville and expecting my 3rd child, I am going to select Bloomington for sure.
I will see you in JULY!! And, yes - I will pray for you! I know wannabeanurse2 will, too!! By the way, if you want to pm me I would love to know your name and see if we have had other classes together :)
