My understanding is that you can apply for admission to another nursing school, but that you would need to start over from scratch at that new school. Curriculum is not standardized in terms of the sequence of content covered, so while over the course of a nursing program all the same info is covered, the order in which its covered can vary. So, there's no assuring that you'll get the content you need in the last semester at a new program as you would have in your current one.
If you do fail, is there a possibility of moving back temporarily next spring in order to re-admit to this same program? That would be the most viable option, I think.
Yeah, not really. I know prereqs transfer but nursing courses don't, ever. I've had to transfer a lot due to relocation, some colleges had intro to nursing as a prereq, another had patho as a prereq, here I am now and their nursing core has both intro and patho coded as nsg, so I can't transfer my courses in and I just did patho last year.

I know this is an absolutely horrible question to ask but I'm a planner and like to cover all bases.
My situation is basically this. I know I will work my butt off these last few weeks to graduate, but hypothetically speaking (
), if I do fail, can I transfer out-of-state to another school that will accept transfer RN classes? I literally cannot go back and re-take because I am moving out of state permanently. This is now or go home for me. We're allowed 1 repeats but I have not used it. My school's regionally accredited ASN, I'm on great terms with the Director, Dean, Staff, Students, etc (can obtain recommendations if needed), and never been in trouble. My grades have been great and clinicals all satisfied (100% complete).
So is it possible I could transfer to any school in the US that will accept a RN transfer student, especially being on good terms with the school? I have read that nursing schools will not accept if you did something totally wrong, failed twice, etc so I imagine I should be OK. I know one option after researching this great forum, and found something about EC but that's it.
Just covering my bases here. :)
