Hi,

First I sized up, problem remained, next I tried the model that was just like the professional model but, made to help with the snuggness on top, it helped a little.

Yet after my first 12 hour shift in them I returned them. I have a high arch and need a flexible sole and had humongous blisters on the balls of both feet from my foot naturally flexing inside the shoe with each step.

Oh yeah, and I had blisters along the top where it was 'hugging' the top of my foot. I guess they aren't for everyone, that is for sure. :)

I normally wear an 8 1/2 and i think i bought their equivelant to a 9.

But they were still tight in places when i tried them on, so i went to the local Dansko retailer and had the toe area "punched out". This helped a lot.

I was told, by a Dansko company rep, that you must order a size up from your regular size, because, they are not supposed to fit like regular shoes, they are supposed to be loose on your foot. I wish I knew that a few years ago. I bought my correct size, and I hated them, my feet killed me all day, and I was wondering what all the fuss was about Danskos. $100 waisted.... I recently tried them again, and ordered the next size up........and they are fabulous.... dreamy..... If they move a little back and forth on your foot, then they fit.....

I sized up...hated them but w/ that investment couldn't afford another pair until after graduation. Will not buy another pair of lead blocks.:sniff:

Sized up & love them.

sized up (2 sizes) for top of foot breathing room also, salesperson told me i could have them stretched for a small fee if i needed to. i will probably do that next time and just go one size bigger. i would wear out a pair of sneakers every 3 months for $65 a pop and have kept this pair of $105 danskos for 18 months now. great investment.

I normally wear an 8.5 but bought my Danskos as a size 9. They do fit well but sometimes I have the ankle rolling problem. When that happens I feel like such a klutz, get embarrassed:imbar , & worry that someday I will be trasferring a patient & my ankle will twist. But they are so comfortable & last so long that I thinking about buying another pair. Does anybody know if going from a narrow fit to a regular fit will be much different? I have a very narrow foot & currently have the Narrow Pro, but want to buy the style Marcelle (so cute!) that isn't offered in narrow. Anybody switch from narrow to regular?:)

Thanks!

Very important to size up because the part around the top of your foot does not stretch as much as needed for a comfortable fit!

I live in a small town and had to order my shoes (danskos) I wear a size 8.5 normally and ordered a size 39. They are WAY too tight on the upper part and my heels slip in them. I know I can't size down because the top will be even tighter. When I've practiced walking in them, I keep twisting my ankles too. I hear that the mens dansko shoes don't have as high of a heel but unfortunately they don't make a small enough size to go that route.

I sized up and tried on many pairs before buying one. I noticed that the arch supports differ with each pair.

because they are hand made each pair will fit differently (slightly.) the first pair I had were 38's and I wear an 8. This last time I tried multiple pairs on and found a 39 that fit like a dream. I would be cautious of ordering them online/catalog w/o trying each pair on first.

I did not size up, and they were snug for a few weeks, but after spending 12 hrs. in them, 4-5 days a week, they stretched out quickly! Now they fit so well I hate the idea of buying another pair to break in! I wore mine around town doing errands for a week though before I ever wore them to work, just so my feet got used to them and they were a little broken in before I had to spend 12 hours working in them!!!
