IELTS expiration

Published

hello. can anyone please help me out with this?

i know its true that the IELTS and CGFNS will expire if you don't take one within two years of the other, but is it true that

the IELTS will expire if you are not granted a visa screen certificate within two years, and you have to take it again?

i have tried browsing through their site, but i can't seem to find the answer.

ICHP only accepts English scores that are less than two years old. If you have already passed the required nursing exam and the English exam, there is no reason for not getting the Visa Screen Certificate, then you are good to go for five years.

Not sure why you are not going ahead with the VSC application now, there is absolutely no reason not to, at least with the information that you have provided.

Question again, what if my IELTS will expire on April 2009 and I applied for Visascreen October 2008, should I take another IELTS exam if CGFNS has not issued me a visascreen by May 2009 onwards? Or do I have to wait until my visascreen application expires?

Thank you in advance.

You should apply now, since CGFNS should have almost all docs, it shouldn't take 6 months. Just send everything what they might need additionally, right payment, fill out the form correct, send it via signed for and if possible with a tracking number.

If you wait any longer though, chances are that your IELTS expires in the middle of the process and then you might have to take it again.

What the concern should be is whether or not you get the VSC issued before the English exams expire. If you get it, or know that it has been issued, then great. Or you will be required to pass the exam again before the VSC will be issued.

Once it is issued, you have 5 years before you will need to retake the English and get another VSC.

This thread is also old and there are many more that are much more current.

I am going to close this thread.
