Does anyone have any ideas to how to lose wt and work nights?
I need to lose 20 lbs. and am struggling to find what works for me
with my work schedule?
I think if i could oust the Mt Dew and drink H2O I would loose a lot. I notice that I seem to "drink" my calories as I don't really eat too much. That is my new goal. I used to only take enough money to work with me for one soda, now I am going to start leaving all my cash locked in my car. Like I'm really gonna walk all the way to my car just to get money to walk all the way back in for a soda. NOT GONNA HAPPEN! My absolute biggest downfall is when I leave in the morning I fly through a fast food restaraunt for a quick breakfast on the way home. I have got to quit doing that but it is oh so convenient.
Alright, I am focused, I am strong, I CAN DO THIS!!!
Good luck to all of us.

Can you try Diet soda? Obviously H20 is much better... but if you find yourself craving the soda, maybe try and do the diet? Dunno... just a suggestion. A friend (guy of course) lost 26 lbs just switching for reg soda to diet!!!!!!
Know exactly what you mean about the fast food for breakfast.... it just tastes so much better after a stressful shift..hehe
Good luck to you.
Is it just me, or does that amount of food sound reasonable?
Let's see:
-Dinner before work (that's 1 meal)
-Vanilla latte (non low-fat snack?)
-Fruit OR rice cakes (low-fat)
-Sandwich OR salad, with OR without some pasta and possibly fruit (that's another whole meal)
-Yogurt (that's a snack)
-Oatmeal OR granola (would that be breakfast?)
To me, it sounds like she's got a pretty good diet...that's not a whole lot of food, honestly. She's got 3 meals and 3 small snacks...that's what's recommended anyway to keep a consistent blood sugar level throughout the day. Furthermore, it seems like she's incorporated a number of lower-fat choices (oatmeal, yogurt, rice cakes, fruit), fiber, carbs, etc. Sounds like smart choosing, not good metabolism, to me. ;>P
There is still a big knowledge void regarding diet, exercise and matabolism. I am struggling with weight and I am doing everything right per my doc...(sigh)
I know my hypothyroidism isn't helping but it is such a struggle some days. Exercise, eat right and don't lose a #..Oh well, I'll keep on pluggin'...hehe. Eventually my metabolism has GOT to get a grip...here's hoping. :)

Zambezi - From this last post I'd have to guess you're either male or one of those rare lucky women with a great metabolism. If I ate that much I'd be even bigger than I am!
