I am such an idiot! I sent in my application for nursing school last week. It is a huge application and you have to get 3 references to include with it. It cost $1.50 to mail.
Well....I got an email from the school today saying that I did not include my $25.00 application fee. OMG! I can't believe I forgot to include that! I sent an email back saying I was so nervous about sending in my application that I forgot to include the application fee. I thanked her for bringing it to my attention and said I would have it in the mail tomorrow.
ERR! I am so mad at myself! :angryfire I hope this doesn't make them think that I am stupid.
My grades are really good. I have everything I need to qualify me for the interview, so hopefully they will see otherwise.

Don't beat yourself up too much! I could so see myself doing something like that! I'm sure it is not the first time or the last that they have had someone forget the fee. I have gone to our addmissions office many times just to double check that I have not forgotten anything!
:icon_hug: Here is a big hug to make you feel better! Good Luck!

if your not the typical over stressed, over worked, panic stricken pre-nursing student, i don't know who is. you poor thing, first of all, your not stupid, your human. second of all, if you weren't so stressed out about the fact that, mailing off this application is making you feel like your life hangs in the balance, perhaps you would have remembered the damn $25 bucks. it's funny, my sister and i were both applying to college, her for a degree in lib. arts and i for nursing. she constantly forget things, fee's, entrance exam date, orientation time, etc; yet i was showing up an hour early just to fill out paper work. some how thinking my admission would be based on that i showed up an hour early, for nothing. she couldn't care less, yet i was a basket case. why, because we are tortured with horrific stories of denials, waiting lists, and 1000 applications for 10 seats, its embedded, that only the best of the best of the best get accepted into nursing and so on. reality, no one on the admissions panel is going to look at your file and say great applicant, to bad she was 3 days late with her fee. lol....but i know how you feel, in your world right now, your afraid to drive in the parking lot the wrong way. try not to worry (even though i know you will) you sound like a strong and great student, and this is not going to affect you. good luck, and i'll be praying for you.

It's no big deal! My nursing program had a 3pm due date on the application. I work night shift. 3pm is totally in the middle of my "night." I was soooo tired when I came home from work, and I had the completed application sitting there on the coffee table, just waiting to be hand delivered to the nursing office... but I was SOOOO tired, I decided to sit down on the couch for a few minutes... and woke up at 4PM!!!!! I was so horrified, and thoughts of all my work being for nothing, and that I would have to wait another year!!! My NET test was done, scores in the high range for this years applicants, my references were all in (I had double checked several times), all I needed to do was turn in the application! I felt like such a moron!
I called the nursing department in tears, and babbled on for a few minutes about how I was so sorry, and how I'm not usually like this, and I'm really very organized, and please don't take this as me being a scatterbrained student... the secretary cut me off and said "Janelle, I was wondering where your application was, because I have everything else of yours, and was really looking forward to finishing out your packet and having it in for selection process. Can you come down now and bring it to me before I leave at 5? If not, just put it in my mailbox, and I'll get it first thing in the morning."
She was so nice, and made me feel like they at least knew who I was, and she told me she understands about the stress of working and going to school, and everything I have on my plate right now. I felt so stupid, but the point is, they have my application, and for you, they have yours! It takes them a while to get everyone's stuff assembled anyways apparently before they start the whole selection process, so don't worry about it! Everything will be fine!
Now if those damn letters would just come!!! :uhoh21:

I doubt you're the 1st student who ever did that! Or the last, for that matter. Just get to $$ in! And try to relax just a little tiny bit!!!

This makes me feel better! I can actually see myself doing that. I can imagine that feeling when you woke up and looked at the clock.
Thank you all for making me feel better and helping me put this little mistake into perspective. I got the application fee in the mail and took a deep breath. Now all I can do is wait.
