I have 3 weeks before I take my NCLEX - I'm using KAPLAN - How to maximize my studies

Published

I have 3 weeks before I take my NCLEX. I'm using Kaplan and I would like to know what will is the best plan to do. I have the course book but its so long and not very detailed so it's hard to read. I have access to go to the live course. Of course the qbanks, question trainers, and sample tests. Should I write the information down that I got wrong and study the notes, just answer questions, read the book, HELP!!!!

Are you taking Nclex RN or PN?

I didn't even read the book because it is soooo long. I found it more helpful to take the Kaplan questions and make notes of stuff that I didn't know and look over those later!! It helped me to do it that way! I shut off at 75 and passed!! Kaplan is awesome, I felt that the questions were extremely similar to those on NCLEX. I got a lot of delegation, prioritization and a lot of those isolation questions (you know the ones where they ask which patient should be placed in a private room). Keep up the good work!! Good Luck!! You can do it!!!:yeah:

hey, cant open my message box.how come i cant do that.do i have to be a premium member to do that?

i m retaking the rn exam mid july having relied heavily on saunders last time. the practice qs in saunders were a little too easy for nclex but kaplan s qs are really challenging.mosby is not bad either.

good luck with your exam

What medications, disease and topics did you remember from the test?

Hi Lil_Mama4sho1, I can't reply to PMs so hopefully you'll see this message. I don't recall what meds were on there since they were ones that I had never seen before and my mind was in a fog after I left. If I remember anything else, I'll post. Sorry I wasn't too helpful. Good luck on your test :)

Can I please remind you al not to discuss actual questions that you had on your NCLEX exam. Remember you sign a confidential form prior to sitting the exam

You can not send pms until you have 15 or more posts but you should be able to read any that are sent to you

I am going online (kaplan) and review the contents while I have my course book open. After that, I go to the Qbanks and do questions. I then, review the rationales and take my own notes. Hope it will help me.

what did you get on the question trainer..got 60% on my qt 5...so dissapointed
