Hello! I'm 25 years old and I am a CNA. Nursing has always been a goal for me, but sadly I haven't even taken the first step. I decided to have two children, and have gone through alot of personal situations. So here I am 25, soon to to be 26 in August, and I have decided that this has got to be the time to do it. I have always had some fear in failing, or not even making it into Nursing School, I know many of you here have probably felt the same way. Anyhow, I'm new to this site, and I am hoping for some words of encouragement, if that's not to much to ask:nuke:. Thanks for taking the time in reading my thread. :flwrhrts:
You have to be in it to win it, so to speak. Take things one step at a time. A suggestion I have is to look at your basic reading, writing and math skills because most schools require some sort of entry exam which covers at least 9th grade level in the aformentioned skills. If you discover that you have challenges, take either remedial or continuing education courses to brush up. This can build your confidence and get you used to studying with a goal in mind, plus sit in a classroom setting that will encourage you to go further.
And, of course, hang around here and get to know the members of this forum. Best of luck to you!

Do it. I graduated from nursing school at age 34 with two kids. It was rough, but I now own my own consulting business, and am loving it! Just do it-you're young and you'll make it.
