Ok, here's the rub: you can't get into nursing school with just a High School diploma. Doesn't work. You need to take all manner of prerequisite courses and establish a decent collegiate GPA to be admitted to a community college nursing school or to progress on from gen-eds to major courses in a baccalaureate program. You need to worry about things like A&P, General Chemistry, Microbio, and all the other classes that give the posters in the Pre-Nursing forum peptic ulcers before you worry about nursing courses.
And about the nursing courses - the clinical courses are mostly organized by hospital department out of necessity, and they all, clinical or didactic, do what they say on the tin. If you don't know how a hospital is organized, I'd suggest doing volunteer work in a hospital or getting your CNA or EMT and working in one.

Go the college catelog of a nursing school, look up each class, read the class description. If you want to know exact chapters, email the instructor and ask them, then look up the required texts for each class, get them from the library and there they are.

Hi Ajara.
I would suggest contacting the school you intend to apply to, and ask them for further information. Every school teaches a bit differently, and some instructors might assign chapters that others might not. If you know someone who has attended the school you want to go to, open a line of communication with them and speak with them about your concerns.
Have you applied to a program? Have you spoken with a counselor or mentor in the nursing program at your school? There are several prerequisite classes, as previously mentioned, that you need to do well in first before many colleges allow you to even apply.
I wish you the best.
thank a lot
Thank very much
