I took my NCLEX today and I think I failed :-(

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi everyone,

I took my exam today and I came out feeling totally empty. I got to 176 questions before the computer shuts down. I felt like I was getting every one of the last 10 questions wrong before it shuts down. Plus, I kept getting a bunch on infection control question, drugs, and priority questions ; It was a nightmare, I am so depressed. Did any of you take it recently, if yes how did you do...I am paying to get my result tomorrow and I know I wont sleep tonight...another thing, is there an RN chatroom where one can go and talk....I need some moral support.:cry:

So, I took mine and did it on a Saturday, and couldn't get the results til Tuesday, just kept saying results not ready. But I passed! Friend of mine was conveinced she failed, worse then me when it shut off at 86 questions....want to talk about freaking out??!! But we made it, they trick u into thinking u failed, its like the questions are just in our heads and we don't have to think about it! Lol good luck!

Hi everyone,

What is the Pearson Vue Trick? please explain. I am to take my NCLEX in Dec. and am already freaking out. Need to pass exit Hesi first of course.

Curious:cool:

After you take your exam (next day) try going back onto the PV site and log in. Attempt to schedule an exam. You will go through the first page of name, school, grad date, etc. When you try to go on throughout the process, a pop-up will come up (if you passed) and tell you that you recently scheduled an exam and you must contact the BON with any questions, blah, blah, blah. If you did NOT pass, it will let you go all the way to the credit card information page to pay for your next exam. Good luck! It worked for me.

first of all, you won't know until you know. it may not have gone as badly as it feels. you'll know when you know.

2nd, many rns fail the exam the first time taking it. i've known at least 20 nurses who admitted it. so imagine how many i may have met who just didn't mention it. i've known rns who took the exam 3 times before passing, this is to say you're not alone, if it is the case.

everyone is not a good test-taker. for some people, in general, the stress of test-taking works against them.

re-group, study and take it again, as many times as you can or have to. no employer asks if you passed the first time or how many times you've taken the exam.

this may not be exactly what you want to hear but in the real world, you have a second or even third chance. if this is your mission, go for it.
