I took my NCLEX-RN exam on July 16th and I got all 265 questions and passed on the first try. I was soooo nervous:uhoh3: but I did the pearson vue trick and it worked for me!!!! I am officially an RN:nurse:!!! The trick works and the number of questions does not matter in my book. Not sure how the computer really calculates it but as long as you see pass you are good.

Good Luck!!!

I have faith that you will pass:1luvu:

I know my response was late but Congrats!!!:D You are officially a nurse now!! Yay

I think you are mistaken...

if you go on the nclex site they explain the whole grading process, its actually rather confusing. It seems as though the people who only get 75 questions (15 of which are not counted) you have to get 50% correct which means they answered around 30 questions correct and 30 incorrect. Apparently the computer picks questions that it feels the person has a 50% chance of getting correct based on the answer they gave to a previous question. Take a look, sounds confusing to me!

from what i am told by my schools nursing program, you are given questions to answer until you get 75 questions right. so you could answer the 1st 75 right and the test end after question 75 or you may need to go to question 150 or higher..

Same deal guys. Got all 265. Now, i've been told, the people there at the testing center KNOW what you did. This guy said, 'well, it's hard to tell. we've had people that got all the questions and passed. and we've had people that got all the questions and failed'. Gee, THAT'S reassurring! Just wish like hell i could talk to someone that KNOWS how torturous this is.

Hey, Tunabomber, you will know sooner than you expect. When you start to get anxious, just think about the precomputer days when people used to have to wait to find out the hard way! Wishing you good luck!

Thanks, Caliotter (interesting name by the way, as mine is). Was actually thinking of that on the way home as my mother is a nurse (as well as many friends) and had to do that. Go through each section. . .wow. Hell, right now i wish i woulda. I missed too many easy easy questions. Thanks for the encouragement. It DOES help.

Took my NCLEX today, got all 265! I am a nervous wreck. I did the Pearson Vue "trick" and according to that, I probably failed. It allows me to go all the way to the credit card information screen. I have read of one person that passed after getting that screen. I am hoping since I took it on a Thursday and took all day they have not had a chance to review it and thats why. Idk I am probably just giving myself false reassurance. This sucks!:crying2:

I know how tortuous it is to wait amanda0001. Try the pearsonvue trick again later today and let me know what happens. Even so. . . . .just know that, worst case scenario, you can take it again and know more of what to expect. But with that said, don't give up hope that you passed! Like you said, its happened before that people get all the way to the credit card part and have passed. Am pullin for you. . . keep me posted!
