... until I found out that one of my shift supervisors, whom I KNEW was a big

Elvis Presley fan... she wears this jacket every night with these Elvis appliques

sewn onto it... she has Elvis as her Facebook profile picture...

I found out this evening that she fully and thoroughly believes that Elvis

is still alive.

That brought back a long-forgotten memory:

Near the hospital where I trained, in London, there was a Chinese restaurant owner who entertained the diners with his Elvis tribute act: Paul "Elvis" Chan.

(IIRC, His restaurant was called 'Gracelands'.)

He was quite the local celebrity.

As to the original's state of health... I've got a copy of 'The Elvis Cookbook'. If he even ate half of this stuff, then trust me - he's dead.

Well, that's right up there with a NBA player from Australia (I believe) who I've seen a couple of headlines about in the last couple of days because he insists the Earth is flat. (I'd like to say "So then what's on the underside, eh? The Bizarro World?").

Yeah, well as long as she is not endangering herself or others, you have to gulp, accept it. I too have heard some wild stuff from people that otherwise functioned fine.
