Best wishes to you and Liz for a great preceptor partnership.
Sounds like she will absorb all the teaching, thanks for your time to
mentor her. Great to know new RNs like Liz are enjoying working
with experienced staff, and soon will be on their own.
Your positive and nurturing attitude along with all the technical education
for your specialty will help her grow.
Best wishes, your patients are so lucky, what a great team!
It is wonderful nurses like you that makes our (the students) day much happier and an enjoyable day at the hospital. I loved the nurses who is willing to take their time outta their busy crazy work day to talk to us and help guide us.
I remember in nursing school, some nurses just want us out of their way and leave their patients alone.

and can I just say, what a delightful young woman. She acted interested, paid attention, applied my suggestions to her practice, asked smart questions, didn't get defensive when I quizzed her about things, cleaned up without having to be asked and generally had a terrific attitude about the whole experience. It was truly an enjoyable experience for me and I think she left feeling really proud of the job she did today. Well, I hope she did because she has reason to be proud and I told her as much.
Why am I posting this? I don't know really. I guess because recently I've gotten a lot of eye-rolling and attitude and this was just a nice change. So if any of you are going to be working with Liz I'm here to tell you, she may be only 22 and still has a lot to learn but she rocks in my book.
