I was picked in the lottery!!!

O M G, I am soooo happy right now! Out of 585 applications, my name came up in the first 100, which means I should get into Spring 2014 at CCSF (they pick 50 for fall; 50 for spring). Nothing's set in stone until I get the official letter, but I'm still going to celebrate!!!

It depends on how many people are eligible before you.. and how they decide to split people up :/ thats a good number though! good luck!

Hey guys I've been searching online to find out how they split up the fall and spring semester and came across this chat. I was in the 80's for this 2013-14 nursing lottery for CCSF does that mean I would be starting spring 2014?

Congrats on making the top 100! Unfortunately I have no idea how they will decide who is spring/fall. I would assume they go down the list one by one and start with offering those applicants Spring. Then once they have 50 for spring, the next 50 in line will be offered Fall? I don't know. Perhaps they go down the list and let people pick Spring or Fall? Would be great to hear from someone who went through the program.

Thanks, I was reading over the requirements for the program and there pretty easy. Just a 2.5 required to be eligible for the program in English, Anatomy, Phsyiology and Microbiology. I was reading over the posts and I noticed that @luaraline was in the 120's. I have heard of a lot of ppl being disqualified for TEAS not for the 2.5 or above that isn't hard for ppl to achieve but I do think you might have a good chance because of the TEAS! just study for it.. I'm hoping that they'll be willing to take my score for the TEAS that I took back in August of 12' passed with above a 62% which is the min accepted for most ADN programs on my first try. good luck to you.

I'm in the high 130s.. They said I have a pretty good chance. Also you should be CPR certified and have most if your GE's finished. Goood luck to both of you hopefully we will be hearing next week :/

well everyone next week is spring break so I doubt we will be getting any letters then because I am sure the office is closed and not reviewing applicatinos...so maybe the following week ?

Yep. I just spoke with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME), the nursing department chair at CCSF. She says they will be sending out letters starting the week they get back from Spring Break.

Chasgnmydream, congrats to you!!!! I have to agree with some of the posters here, though.....if I had to wait on lottery results, I would've torn my little bit of hair out! I wish you luck in your classes.

Not yet for me. I run to the mailbox every day hoping it's there. sigh. In looking back at last years posts (which is how I found out when the lotter results would be), letters didn't start arriving until April 11. So I'm thinking next week we'll definitely have something.
