O M G, I am soooo happy right now! Out of 585 applications, my name came up in the first 100, which means I should get into Spring 2014 at CCSF (they pick 50 for fall; 50 for spring). Nothing's set in stone until I get the official letter, but I'm still going to celebrate!!!

Nope, but it seems to be pretty straight forward. Have any of you guys taken TEAS yet?

I wonder if we can take it ahead of time?

I am also thinking that maybe some people will become disqualified if they don't have their CPR or don't pass the background check.

I have taken it already and requires a mdoerate amount of studying. Some trickly questions, but otherwise if you have taken the pre-reqs your golden. And yes I agree

I also already took the TEAS V. I agree with volleygirl89, if you study a moderate amount and have already finished your pre-reqs, you'll do fine. And yes, people can get disqualified for so many reasons, even down to forgetting to submit something.

I haven't received a letter yet. I'm anticipating getting something in early April, judging from last year's discussions of when they received their letters (that's how I knew what date to check for the lottery results as well). Good luck to all of us!!! :yes:

When does CCSF offer the TEAS test? I can't find any info. on their website about it.

They don't offer it.. you have to go to a specific testing site such as SFSTATE or in oakland. Here is the website where you can register and then have your scores sent to CCSF and other schools https://www.atitesting.com/Home.aspx

I just checked out that ATI website. Looks like all the available testing dates coming up in Oakland are only for Holy Names, Mills, St. Mary's, and Notre Dame students. Guess I will take it at SF State. Either that, or looks like I'd have to drive all the way out to Sacramento or Napa.

So I called again (im going crazy not knowing) and asked when the letters will start going out and they said they are reviewing around 300 apps to see who is qualified and from there they will go down the list I guess. I mentioned my number and she said not bad and knew my name and said I should hear at least by the end of April :/

Congrats!!!!! I also applied to CCSF, I am in the #120s so I was close.

What do you think my chances are?

I guess I'd have to hope that 20+ people don't qualify somehow, or decide to go elsewhere huh?

Oh dear lord I'm so nervous!!!!

Sounds like encouraging news, but my mind keeps racing. I keep thinking that nothing is for certain and something could go wrong, I don't know!

It would be nice to know in April. It's going to be difficult planning anything around not really knowing anything indefinitely.

I think I will talk to the nursing department in person tomorrow. Ill keep you all updated if I hear anything.

I feel the exact same way! I am waiting to hear from other school and I am also going out of the country May 2, so I would prefer to hear before than! That would be fabulous keep us updated!!! anybody else hear anything?

What other program did you decide to go to? Also did you know anyone that was in the 100s?

You applied at the right time, just 2 years ago, CCSF still had the 80% re-applicants and 20% new applicants slotting (about 400 new applicants competing for 20 seat!).

But only 585 applicants? Last year was around 880--I was in the 300 range and got a call this January to see if I'm "ready to attend" at a moment's notice.

But I had to decline b/c I don't play this at-a-moment's-notice game, besides I had already got accepted to another program.
