I was picked in the lottery!!!

Published

O M G, I am soooo happy right now! Out of 585 applications, my name came up in the first 100, which means I should get into Spring 2014 at CCSF (they pick 50 for fall; 50 for spring). Nothing's set in stone until I get the official letter, but I'm still going to celebrate!!!

All I know is that I'm not leaving the program/school until they place me somewhere I don't want to 2-3 yrs on a list again lol

Has anyone heard about orientation yet?

They said that they will email early November and they'll mail the orientation packet by mid November.

got my email for my spring 2014 registration date but nothing from nursing office yet :/

I didn't get a registration email. :-/

I went to ccsf on Monday to make sure that my classes that I took from another college will get transferred. The counselor went with me to the nursing department. I forgot her name, but the administrative assistant of the program told me that we should get our packet by the week of veteran's day Nov 11 I believe. Anyone coming from the eastbay? I wish we can carpool. Is anyone working while in the program?

Thanks for the update ! I wonder if they are just sending out packets or doing an in person orientation also? I am working while in the program

I'm like totally freaking out because I still haven't completed my CPR requirement yet. I asked them about it months ago, and they told me to just wait for the packet, because it will tell me exactly which CPR classes will meet the requirement. They said not to risk taking the wrong type of CPR class. I always do things ahead of time, and I don't like being last minute. So, here I am waiting, and freaking out! Aaaaaaahh!

I don't have plans to work while going to school. But if I find a job that is nursing related then I would consider it.

I live in SF, so not coming from East Bay, sorry.

Btw. I also emailed the Nursing Department 2 days ago to ask about the packets. As of right now, I have received no replies.
