I have no patience for this today!

Seriously. Why do you need to go to the nurse the second you get off the darn bus?!? You haven't even been to your locker yet! :banghead: TGIF.

Or the one who comes in complaining literally as soon as she walks in the door saying, "I don't feel good. My mom's waiting in the parking lot." :banghead:

Yep. Dealt with this yesterday. Be a parent and make a determination if your child is too sick to stay home. This kid's problem was possible pink eye. I explained to the parents that I do not have the authority to diagnose. He went home because he couldn't even open his eye. But now he's back today. :sarcastic:

Wow. I do a few kids with a lot of other things going that the parents struggle with said student to get them through the door each day. But those parents and I work together, usually they email me or call me to let me know it is bad day and that if their kid is my office at 8:05, they want that student to stay. (It is actually great to tell a student "I've already talked with your mom/dad today and we agreed you can made it through the day today.")

As for the parent that actually tells their kid they are waiting in the parking lot...why would one do this? Do they need the nurse to say "yep they are sick" for the excused absence? Because if they aren't sick, they are not getting an excused absence from me.

Yep only when I quote does the spacing go away! Weird.

See that period above, that is the way to bypass the glitch. First thing after you quote is to hit "."

That resets and allows normal operation.

I can't take credit, someone else found the work around. I just wrote out everything and went backwards inserting spaces. Kept me from being long winded.
