it is a national exam therefore doesn't matter where you take the exam the questions all come from the same pot. also everyone's exam is different as are the number of questions they get, just remember adequate preparation and remember you can get between minimum (75 or 85 depending whether rn or pn) to maximum (265 or 205) and pass or fail with any number. if you trained in the us then the pass rate is higher than a international trained nurse

thank you:). i stop at 125. i had 6-7 SATA, 2 drug computations, they gave me a lot of drugs (different meds.) & prioritization. it was hard i was a little nervous but i jst kept going even im not sure w/ my answers. i focus on the test rather than my feelings. i prayed alot during the test & it was very helpful to me it made me calm & think well. goodluck to you:up:

silverdragon : "If you trained in the US then the pass rate is higher than a International trained nurse," does that mean the questions are more harder for international students who got their degree abroad? Nclex or pearsonvue actually gives a harder set of questions?

or is it generally speaking that the passing rate is lower for international trained students.

I'm taking this exam the 2nd time and if nclex know's i studied abroad. I have a extra barrier to break down cuz I didnt study here in the states?

No it doesn't mean the questions are harder for International nurses. If you train in the US then generally your nursing school will prepare you for the NCLEX in the same way a nursing school in Canada will prepare the Canadian student for the CRNE. The pass rate is the same for US and International nurse as the questions all come from the same pot it generally the International nurse isn't prepared for the NCLEX and stats prove that currently a foreign trained nurse has a 42% chance of passing first time compared to a US trained nurse who has a 88% chance on passing first time.
