I passed!! Review of SAUNders, mosbys, etc

Nursing Students NCLEX

I PASSED!!!!!!!!! I wanted to give my opinion of the review books and tell you my scores to hopefully help others still waiting to take the test. I used Saunder's Comp review (just the CD) and Mosby's Comp Review and I subscribed online to the NCSBN review and in my opinion the NCSBN were the closest to the actual NCLEX questions....Saunders was good to review content but I felt it was too specific about certain areas.

Now...my scores on each....Saunders I was getting 70's - 80's consistantly and on NCSBN I was only getting 50's-60's.

Anyway, I hope this helps....please don't hesistate to email me if you have questions. Everyone on this board was so helpful and comforting while waiting my results! Thank you all!!!

I have been waiting to be able to finally do this:

To Jill RN, a mighty congratulations. I'm using Saunders mostly. Have used Mosby's and Stat Nursing Consultants.

Since my last review, I can't recall how many in a row I need to get at the pass line or above to get the computer to shut off and pass me. Can you or anyone else help with the answer? I sit for NCLEX in about 10 days.

Thanks.

Jill, unfortunately I recent failed with 265 ?'s. I was wondering if you could tell me a bit more about the NCBSN review....how much was it, is like the saunders cd, etc? You can send me a private message.

Thanks!

Congratulations Jill, RN & thanks for the NCLEX tips!

Specializes in CVICU.

Thanks for being open about your practice scores. For me, it's encouraging! I will be taking my exam on Wednesday, and the tension is building. Thanks again for sharing! I also found NCSBN to be extremely challenging, but I'm glad I did it.

I don't think there is any number you have to get right in a row as you're approaching 75 or 265. Because the questions are weighted, you might have proven competency at question number 68, but it still must give you a minimum of 75, so even if you got the last one, or the last few wrong, it may not matter.

That's right. The only time you have to get a certain number in a row right, is if you run out of time, then you have to get the last 60 right in order to pass. But that is ONLY when you run out of time.
