Hi, I was wondering if anyone could fill me in on TNCC.....is it difficult? I am taking it for the first time in a month & I just got a huge book in the mail to study!! I tend to freak out about these things for no reason (ACLS for example). Can anyone tell me what to focus on in the book & what the test is like??? Thanks in advance!! Jill
  2. I PASSED!!!!!!!!! I wanted to give my opinion of the review books and tell you my scores to hopefully help others still waiting to take the test. I used Saunder's Comp review (just the CD) and Mosby's Comp Review and I subscribed online to the NCSBN review and in my opinion the NCSBN were the closest to the actual NCLEX questions....Saunders was good to review content but I felt it was too specific about certain areas. Now...my scores on each....Saunders I was getting 70's - 80's consistantly and on NCSBN I was only getting 50's-60's. Anyway, I hope this helps....please don't hesistate to email me if you have questions. Everyone on this board was so helpful and comforting while waiting my results! Thank you all!!! I have been waiting to be able to finally do this: Jill, RN:nurse:
  3. I am praying for all of us!! The world needs some more great nurses!!!!! Stay strong...we will all know soon.
  4. Mine shut off at 112! I feel the same way...my questions were on HIV and ortho...YUCK! I will very very surprised if I actually passed, I don't feel confident at all!! I just don't understand why we have to wait 48 hours. ?They have the unofficial results now. A classmate of mine took it on tuesday and the results were on the states BON site on Wednesday because they get downloaded on Wednesday....so you know the results are available in 24hours! I'm just very frustrated!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I am also taking mine 2/9....I've been going crazy all day trying not to look at some questions. I'll be praying for you...and me! GOOD LUCK!
  6. I am 2 1/2 weeks from taking NCLEX and I have been doing 100 questions per night for only 1 1/2 weeks, I have been getting 70's on the Saunder's CD questions and I am also doing the questions on the NCSBN review but only getting 50's. I know Suzanne said to postpone the exam until I could do 6 wks with 100 questions but I am afraid of waiting too long after graduating but I am concerned now that my % are very low. any advice?
  7. Thank you so much for your post! I am sorry that we all have to learn from your mistake but I needed your post to bring me back to reality! You have no idea how much I needed to hear what you had to say! Thank you so much!:rotfl:
  8. I just did a presentation on Med errors and I used a story I heard about an 18 mo old who died because of a med error....the website is www.josieking.org. I read the mothers story to the class....there wsn't a dry eye in the place
  9. I am in my last semester of nursing school and was feeling pretty confident until today! We took our first exam of the semester and got our grades today. I am generally a pretty good student & I thought I did very well on the exam, to find out that I got an 83% (barely passing at my school) then to find out everyone else did very well. Then I ansered 2 questions in class and was completely wrong BOTH TIMES!! I am feeling really dumb & wondering if I am going to ever get all of this!!!!
