I just found out that after taking boards on Monday, I passed!!! I am on cloud nine right now! I studied for about two months using Kaplan's course, as well as utilizing their course book, on-line review videos, Qbank, and Qtrainers. Once I did the entire Q Bank, I started using the Saunders Q&A Review for NCLEX-RN. I felt that both of these sources did a good job of preparing me for the test, as I had many questions that were on topics related to questions I had practiced on. I even had one question that was identical to one I had in Saunders.
My test had 3 math, 14 SATA, and a good number of infection control, psych, and OB questions. I could tell as the test progressed that it was getting harder, but my last question was extremely basic (I knew the answer immediately), and that concerned me.
Here are my scores from Kaplan:
QBank (did entire QBank) 59% average
Q Trainer #1 60%, 61% 2nd time
Q Trainer #2 60%, 66% 2nd time
Q Trainer #3 44%, 59% 2nd time
Q Trainer #4 54%, 56% 2nd time
Q Trainer #5 62%
Q Trainer #6 63%
Q Trainer #7 68% (did this one the day before NCLEX)

BTW: I set a goal for myself that I would be an RN before my 21st birthday, which is at the end of this month. I am thrilled that I was able to meet my goal!
thanks everyone for the congratulations. Today was my first day back at work since taking boards. Everyone was congratuating me, and letting me do the only "RN" tasks (at my hospital, only RN's can sign narcotics directly out of pharmacy, not GN's)!
