Boy, did I have a rough night last night, but it was all worth it this afternoon when I saw PASSED pop up on my screen! I finally did it. I am a Nurse Practitioner. Thank God!! South University does not have any review out, but I am one of their graduates of the NP program that has successfully passed the ANP exam (with Fitzgerald and Barkley's courses).

Congratulations. As posted above...what a FANTASTIC Christmas present!!!!! Now you can really take that sigh of relief and enjoy the holidays. Best of luck to you. South online is providing Hollier's review during the final practicum class as well as recommending Leik's review book earlier on. I am also going to take Fitzgerald's review and planning on taking my AANP exam next month.
Thanks so much!!! Honestly, due to my hectic work schedule, I really just listened to Fitzgerald's CD's for about 6 months and then I went to her review and yes, South during the final practicum offers online Hollier review and you can print out the syllabus with each system review.
The Fitzgerald review, I'd swear by it!!! My exam had some content that I was not familiar with, but overall the questions even down to the similarity of the questions were spot on. I did not study like I would have liked through the program due to working 2 jobs, practicums, homework, family, etc. So when I finished Nov 1st, I would study a few hours daily and was pleasantly surprised that my month and few days on study time paid off!
Good luck, FITZGERALD review is awesome and you will be surprised about the similarities. If ya wanna know more email me [email protected]
I graduated on Dec 10th and just took my AANP exam...and PASSED!!!!!
CONGRATS!!! Feels great doesn't it?

Congrats lhflanurse & beautynbrains!!! Lhflanurse, what area of FL are you and what are the job prospects looking like? I live in FL and start the NP program at South at the end of march. Cant decide if i want to go FNP or Adult...any insight?
I dont really ever see myself doing anything Peds related so I can cut out an 11 week course and 6 credits worth of tuition if I just to the Adult.
Congrats on passing! I would love to hear about your South experience ([email protected]) and I have questions if you have the time to answer them.
Thanks
My email is [email protected] if you have any questions...
I am in a small community and plan to work more independently. I started out with the FNP program, but after my first clinical rotation, I realized that children under 18 are ALL seen by local pedi facilities...even the health department refers to these centers, so I did not feel that it would be of benefit to do the FNP program for my needs. My email is [email protected].
Thanks, I'll shoot an email to you when I'm not working. I live in a small community in central Florida as we'll so peds isn't big around here as it's primarily retirees.
Thanks again!
