I Passed AANP Certification Today!!- South University Former Student
err Hello Inflanurrse I am sorry that I am responding so late. I just wanted to give you a personal CONGRATS! I have read many of your comments on these threads and I must say that you have been so positive. You always give positive feedback even when some are negative. I have seen you on many occasions take the time out to answer so many questions that were thrown at you and you answered them objectively and honestly. I feel like I have learned so much from your experiences, as you provided invaluable insight on the program at South. It is only fitting and so deserving that you passed your exam on the first attempt!! Your positive attitude and willingness to help others, could only be blessed with a positive outcome. Again congratulations and I wish you the best in your journey as an ANP

South University FNP MSN program???
Hello Guys, I am back to update you all on my experience so far with SU. FYI, I go to one of the brick and mortar (not on-line)locations here in Michigan. I am currently in patho. I often wondered if the online and onsite program were similar in the structure of their courses. So for those of you who are like me here is what is expected in this course... we have 3 exams and a comprehensive final 4 quizzes that we take on weeks that we do not have exams 1 evidenced base article to read, summarize and write a 1 page paper 1 group presentation on a disease process 1 case study of course we have lots of reading and study guide assignments to correlate with the chapters read to help with the quizzes and exams. We are using the McCance 7th edition patho text.

It sounds like South is really preparing you for the exam..I am so excited to hear that. Thank you so much for sharing, you are always a wealth of knowledge. Good luck with your studies and please keep us updated with your progress.- Online vs residential
Thank you for sharing. I will begin my classes in January and am looking forward to them. We have an onsite campus where I live so my classes will not be on-line. I wonder if the format differs any??? Do you mind sharing which clinical rotations you have completed so far and your experiences?- Online vs residential
Congratulations. I am so happy for you. Good luck with your studies. Do you mind sharing which study material you are using for your exam? Did you take a review course and if so which one did you take or recommend?- Online vs residential
Hi Inflanurse, Did you graduate yet? If so congratulations. How did your final project go?- South university 2015
SU took my research/statistics, advance practice roles and nursing theory whew. My biggest concern was research/statistics because there is no way I am ever taking that course again. I took it in undergrad as well and I am not a fan. So you and I may be in the same cohort. I am happy that they took two of your courses and hopefully they will take your research course. Good Luck!! - Recent DNP-FNP graduate, interviews approaching and pregnant. Advice?
