Im currently an LVN student and I am constantly thinking about the NCLEX daily! its seriously eating at me, i want to take it already and see what it is all about. How is it? Types of questions? when will i know if i am prepared to take it? Does anyone know of a test that i can take that is similar to the nclex, that is timed and will tell me if i pass or fail? please give me whatever insight you have and referrals on how to best prepare, study tools, habits, and programs. i appreciate all input. Thank you so much for yours guys help. BTW i graduate in OCt. Im trying to prepare my self the best i can.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Check out the NCSBN website where test questions and lots of other information regarding the test is listed. They are the ones after all who devised the exam

Concentrate on graduating from school. There is plenty of time for the NCLEX once you have your degree in hand.

I also have an exit exam that is NCLEX style at the end of my program so I can use whatever types you guys have to help me with that. so please more suggestions!

You can take notes know on major disorders. I took notes and came home and broke my notes down into s&s of the disorders, interventions, labs, ect.. I have as of yet to take the NCLEX but it is testing your basic knowledge as a nurse. That is what you are learning in school. Good luck!
