Ugh...I remember learning that and I feel your pain! What helped me was to just practice writing them over and over. I'd write all the ones I could name, then check it against my notes. Then I'd try to do it again and get more of them. Over and over and over. Dull but it eventually paid off.
Do you need to be able to identify them? If so, check my thread "A&P Help...From My Brain to Yours" for my tissue slides study guide.
Good luck and let us know how you do on your quiz!
We don't need to know location, but do need to know cell type, function, structure. I put it on a spreadsheet and that helped. Does your lab manual go into any detail of this - ours is great, but the spreadsheet put it all together for me. let me try to attach my spreadsheet. I can't guarantee it is 100%
EDITED TO ADD: Okay it would'nt let me attach and excel file - but try putting it on a spreadsheet. HTH
let me know if you have excel and I can email you a copy -

Me too. I have a test on Monday. I haven't had much lab time to review it first hand since I work full time. We also have the 206 bones (about 100 on the test). I have a pretty good handle (as far as I can see) on the bones, lets just hope I don't freeze up.
Thanks!2

I emailed the spreadsheet to both of you. I hope it helps, if even a little. I happen to have an AWESOME Prof. who is very repetitious and wouldn't give the lab practical until he felt the whole class knew it - which was tonight!
Good luck - I think we are off to the skeleton for our next practical

I have to know the 15 tissues (what they look like), their location, plus functions!
anyone have any tips or suggestions? how am I supposed to remember where the stratified squamous epithelium is located?? or remember the function of the hyaline cartilage? I only have 3 days until the quiz:banghead:
I've made flashcards but nothing seems to be sticking to my memory. except adipose because that's easy and means fat and insulates.
