I have been lazy the whole month of December. I have LS2, LS3, and Transition. My goals was to finished LS2 & Transition by 12/31, and LS3 in January. I have to get off my lard and get back to it. I was right behind Tasha, now she has left me in the wind!!!

I had to stop working on it last year because I got really sick and then really pregnant, so I am in the same spot I was last year with 4 exams to do then FCCA and CPNE. I am taking two tests next week and then I am hoping to do the last two sometime in January as well. You can do it!!! Transitions imo was easy as long as you memorize well. Good luck and happy studies.

Resolve to pick it up in the new year. Be careful, because life happens and you may have problems that are out of your control that will interfere. You have to budget your time with that possibility in mind.

Life happens. I had all nursing exams except NC6 done in 4 months from Jan to April 2008. Didn't get to NC 6 until Feb 09, and didn't take my CPNE until early this month, and I still have Micro, plus two filler credits that I need. In that time I have had 7 (seriously) pregnancies, miscarried 5, and gave birth to 2.
Not to mention I have been a stay at home mom all this time, not using my skills. So in prep for the NCLEX, I am going back to study for all of the exams again, plus normal NCLEX prep. I would love to hear from somebody who has lagged behind like me.
I had so much motivation at the beginning, but with life and laziness here I am. So you are not alone. Just resolve to do it, and get it done. I'll do the same. I can make all of the excuses in the world, and they are true, but I am in control of this, and I will get it done. So will you!
As I said before I did all my other tests in less than two months studying and succeeding. I had a hard time with NC4 and ended up with a D. As I was studying to retake that exam I got very sick and then pregnant. During my pregnancy I was sick with hospitalization and physical therapy while my other half was deployed. I have been working for a few weeks to get going again and I am ready for Chronicity but LS3 is next after that and then LS 1 & 2. I should get these knocked out in a month and a half to two months barring any life problems then I give myself 3 months. It's been hard especially since I have a newborn and I go back to work, school, and military duty this coming month. My life will be hectic but I'm going to make it work. Most of my general ed is done so I'm set there. I am pushing to be done with everything including the cpne in time to go to the graduation in July.

I totally understand! I am ready to test for Repo right now...then this whole HOLIDAY thing had to happen But I am reviewing for the rest of the weekend, and I am going to schedule my exam for the 1st day I don't work next week. I had hoped to catch up to Tasha too but at least I get motivated every time she tests I am going to try and stick to my orginial goals of all exams passed by April, NCLEX done by August or sooner depending on CPNE schedule. I want to be DONE with this!
Happy New Year to all! Thanks for the replies! It is making me motivated. I have to say that I am glad that we have Excelsior due to unexpected life events, like moving to another state to take care of my mom who help was failing; working full time; and just life period!
Ok. I am about to hit the books. It will be challenging since I am doing grandma duty with an active 5 year old.
I will keep you posted.
you all better hope you get caught up cause if not i'm gonna leave some dust behind, and then i'm gonna sneak behind you and give you a swift kick in the rear! =) LOL I too am glad of EC not being strict on time, i got sick and we had a vacation and i didnt have to worry about school, it was nice! Now i'm ready to just get going again...2011 is the year of the RN folks, lets give them something to talk about :)
Tasha,
You are leaving me in the wind. I saw another post where you did the practice exam for LS3!! Well, I have rescheduled LS2 for 1/7 and Transitions for 1/14. I have been studying for LS2 on and off for several weeks. I just need to finish and take those practice exams.
Oh i always take my first practice exam at the beginning of my studies, then the second one at then end right after i finish studying! that works the best for me so i can see if i improved greatly or just a little bit! =) I still have teh next 10 days to study for LS3 before i take practice exam B...then i'll take the real exam =) hopefully i can knock out micro and lifespan psych fairly quickly too along with the fCCA by the end of Feb. that's my goal anyway, i'm also going to take the analyzing and interpreting lit for my 6 humanities credits in Feb too.
