Whew.....The Nervous System really gets me!! I am actually LOVING A & P, I REALLY am. I have a 99.3 average thus far, but, I am having a difficult time with the nervous system. We have a huge test on Friday regarding the entire chapter and I am still so lost. I am glad I have a nice cushion of an average in case I screw up on this test, but I don't want to ruin my average, you know?? I am proud of it! I just finished another study session and I just can't put together the information neatly in my head to understand it....With all of my other classes and tests this week....I don't think I will have enough time I guess I am just ranting during my study 'break'....Anyone else have issues with the NS?? How did you get through it??

What's confusing you? I'm finishing up the Nervous system as well.
This is my second time around, and it's making alot more sense for me. Flashcards right after lecture really help. Anyway, what's confusing you?

suggestion: go to a library and look at a&p books written for lower grades (i.e. high school) that have simpler explanations of the material and see if that helps with your understanding. the pharmacology book used in my medical coding program had really nice basic explanations and drawings for the physiology of the major organs and cell components and how they worked. also, check the anatomy & physiology websites listed on post #44 of this sticky: https://allnurses.com/nursing-student-assistance/pathophysiology-p-microbiology-145201.html - pathophysiology/ a & p/ microbiology/ fluid & electrolyte resources
then, go back to your textbook and class notes and see if you don't have a better understanding.
