I just took the NCLEX-RN today and i am freaking out!!!

Published

I took nclex this morning. i was shaking the entire time. i sat down and started the test and was surprised at how much i had to guess. so many of the questions were things i just didn't think would be on there. plus there were meds i had never heard of, and i also got a lot of nutrition questions (which i hate) and a lot of select all that apply. so about around questions 50-60 i was like, okay, i'm totally gonna go over 75 because i know i'm missing a lot of these. well at 75 it cut off. my mouth dropped open. NO! COME BACK! I NEED MORE QUESTIONS! i have heard of people who failed at 75, and i'm pretty sure i'll be one of them too. i just feel like there's added pressure, because i already have a job lined up. i don't want to have to call my boss and tell her i failed. :banghead:

I took my NCLEX on Thursday 1/21 and I am still waiting for MS board of nursing. I have attempted the "trick" a few times. Each time the infamous please contact you board has popped up. I'm skeptical to see if it actually works. I'm so nervous.

Specializes in Pediatrics.

i'm in alabama. after 48 hours we can look on the state board website and see if we have a license.

Congrats! I just found out this morning that I passed too! The PVT does work, even though I would not believe it until I saw it posted on the BON website! :yeah::yeah::yeah::nurse::nurse::yeah::yeah::yeah:

I took my test on the 27th. Mine also shut off at 75 questions, and I had never been so sure that I had failed a test in my entire life. I seriously thought that the computer just decided I was too stupid to live and shut off lol. Anyways, I found out Saturday that I PASSED! I also had several SATA questions, and a bunch of pharm that I had never heard of. 4 of us took our test that day, all shut off at 75 and all of us passed...there is hope for us all :)

I passed! The trick works. After 11 days I finally found out that I passed my boards..phew a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Now the job hunt begins!

What is the good pop up of the pearsonvue trick?

Do this about 2 hours after you test. Your official results will be posted Sun morning about 730 on the abn site under license lookup

1) Do this "Treat" properly. Go to http://www.pearsonvue.com/nclex so there is no confusion and all of us on the same bandwagon. Click on My Account on the right hand side of the screen. Log-in with your userID and password that you used when you initially register for the test on-line. If you did it by phone or scantron....Im not really sure what to do. Sorry.

2) Most important thing when doing this "Treat" is that the status of your exam appointment must say "Delivered Successfully" Doesn't matter if its 1, 2 or 10 hrs after you took the test....it has to say delivered successfully. Otherwise this "Treat" won't work for you until it does. This is the most crucial step of all.

3) When it say delivered successfully, go to the upper left hand side and click on register. Choose either the RN or the PN test. Then hit Next. Select your country. Answer the 3 yes/no questions and it really doesn't matter what you put here...believe me I tried all different combo. Select which school you graduated from, Select the Graduation Date, and the state you are taking your boards for. Then the moment of truth....If you get a pop-up that says "another exam is schedule, you can't register, contact your board member".....breathe and relax...you Passed!!! Seriously....you Passed!!! Unless they changed their system....you Passed!!! Pop the bubbly.

4) If you get to a credit card payment screen....from what I have gathered.....that means you didn't pass....I am truly sorry....but don't give up. Look at it this way....you have a heads up to starting studying and preparing for next time. Don't loose faith....we need help out there in the workforce.

5) Theory behind this "treat" is simple....Pearson knows if you pass or failed as soon as you are done taking the exam....so once the results are delivered....their system knows if you can register again or not. If you pass, their system will block you from double booking them....but if you failed....they are more then happy to charge you again.

Thank you for the instructions nugraduate09.

Ok! I just got home from the testing center, I too shut off at 75 Q's...did NOT expect it to tho!! I had prob. 6-7 SATA's and a few nutrition...I wasn't going to do the PVT, but after reading everyone else's posts, I did and it gave me the "good pop-up"!!!:redbeathe:redbeathe I'm excited but still want to wait to find out!!!:hpygrp:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!:D

Hi everyone!

I took my NCLEX-PN this morning and I was so mortified! I was a deer caught in headlights! So when I got home I cried, prayed, and cried again. I have done the Pearson "trick" and it will NOT let me re-register. From what I've read, it works 99.9% of the time, so I am very hopeful. My test cut off at 85 questions. I will keep everyone posted, and by the way I'm in Alabama.
