I just took the NCLEX-RN today and i am freaking out!!!

Published

I took nclex this morning. i was shaking the entire time. i sat down and started the test and was surprised at how much i had to guess. so many of the questions were things i just didn't think would be on there. plus there were meds i had never heard of, and i also got a lot of nutrition questions (which i hate) and a lot of select all that apply. so about around questions 50-60 i was like, okay, i'm totally gonna go over 75 because i know i'm missing a lot of these. well at 75 it cut off. my mouth dropped open. NO! COME BACK! I NEED MORE QUESTIONS! i have heard of people who failed at 75, and i'm pretty sure i'll be one of them too. i just feel like there's added pressure, because i already have a job lined up. i don't want to have to call my boss and tell her i failed. :banghead:

did you log in to your pearsonvue account with your user id and password first?

or did you go to register and enter in all your info ALL over again without logging in?

i think that might make a difference...

U have to use your existing a/c otherwise the test that u took won't show up

well, i hope you passed!

and if not, just study a bit more. it'll be better cuz you already know how to study for the test. Saunders and Kaplan questions really help.

good luck! we don't know how accurate the pearsonvue test is... so you don't know that you failed until you get your official results!

i'll say a prayer for you!

I took Kaplan...but the questions that i had are not anywhere similar to Kaplan's at all & i'm not the only 1 saying that.

I agree with you coz i also took kaplan and i ner encountered a question similar to kaplan si i was really devastated...

I know the questions aren't exactly the same... but they're kinda similar. Kaplan's answers are a bit more obvious than the NCLEX tho...

Good luck!

DONT worry. I had the same experience, I was just getting started at 76 questions, and woo it shut down. Went home dazed sure I had failed. (it only took 3/4 hour). I passed. Hang tight!!!

did you get the "good" pop up? or do you officially know that you passed?

They(cal nurses board) sent me my registration card. I wasn't in a hurry to find out my results because i was so sure I had failed. I cried myself to sleep post test. (Whaaah I've never failed anything before Whaa etc) A week later and there it is in the mail.

CONGRATULATIONS!!

That's awesome!

I just took the NCLEX today... but I JUST graduated about 10 days ago... so my transcripts wont even be received by the BRN for another 3-5 weeks!

AND to top it all off... I also live in Cali where there is no quick result service... urgh! :banghead:

I only have the "good" pop-up sign to keep me sane for now...

Does ANYONE know someone that this trick DIDN'T work for?

Sorry to keep bugging everyone... this'll be my last post tonight. =P

I just can't sleep...

when I try to register without going through my username and password, it takes me to the CC page... (which scares me)

when I go through my username and password I get the good pop-up.

Can someone tell me is one more reliable than the other?

THANKS!!

Just to let everyone know....I did the PVT when I took NCLEX, got the "good pop-up" and it DID work!!! So anyone who gets that, have some confidence!!
