I just took the NCLEX-PN and I'm in a nervous wreck!

I just took the NCLEX-PN yesterday and my heart dropped when it stopped at 85 questions. I am sure about maybe 40 questions but the rest I guessed... I took it in California so there is no way for me to find out my quick result. I'm only in DAY 2 and I'm so anxious! I don't know if I should study or relax... :bluecry1: This is what sucks about having no quick results. But anyway, can anyone tell me how much it is to take the NCLEX-PN the 2nd time in case I did fail my first? Is it the same as the first time, $200?

just took my nclex-pn 3/11/09, then the next day nclex-rn 3/12/09,,,you have a great chance of passing at 85'q..3 of my friends shut off at 85,,,,passed!mine was maxed at 205'q,not sure i made it! lets wait 2-3wks for result..good luck to both of us!!!

Hi, I took mine on 2/23 in CA. I'm pretty sure it will still be $200. The first few days for me was awful, the waiting and wondering part of things. I decided not to study because I needed the break, and this way if I do have to take it again I won't be burned out, but refreshed from my month long wait. I'm trying to do those things that I couldn't do because I was studying all the time. Do something nice for yourself while you are waiting. Good luck! p.s. don't bothering looking at the bvnpt website. They won't post names until after you have passed and paid for the license first. I learned this the hard way.

Thanks for the advice. I've been going back to that bnvp site over and over again hoping it would show me some way to let me know how I did. Gosh this freaking sucks! What really bothers me is that I remember 2 questions from my test that I got wrong and they were ridiculously easy to my sister who is already an LVN. This wait is a killer! So far I've been babysitting and reading books. I thought about reviewing but I think I will just drive myself insane LOL. Good luck to us!!!

Congratulate yourself on having taken the test. There are people who get so worked up over it that they never test. Then relax and concentrate on something else until you get your results. You will have plenty of time to either rejoice or be sad once your results are known. Wishing you good luck.

Well I took mine also the 3/07/09. I will probably expect a result about April 15 for sure. But I know once I recieve letter if I pass I will have to drive to Sacramento and pay to get permit and than the results will show on website. Good luck to all us! I got only about86questions and I continue to study even though I feel I did well on the nclex. I used Kaplan and the Ncsbn to study for LPN. Well girls I guess for now wait. I am in orientation right now and working as a GVN so that kind of helps to distract my self. But we'll see. GOOD LUCK! I hope well all pass!!!

I have a very similar situation. About 85 questions. I felt pretty good about them but I'm sure I probably only got 50% correct (which is what everybody do). It all depends on what correct answers you got. I felt good because I had many application and decision making questions and I don't think I did so bad...so if it stopped at 85 I hope I was in the good side of things. But with every passing hour after the test I just keep getting the sinking feeling. My name didn't show up on the BRN site yet it's been a week. I know some people who passed but didn't see their name there within two days. So there is hope. I have already embrace failure so I can relax and go on with my life...I think they are cruel not to show you the results quicker. Good luck...

Hi to all,

I took mine Feb 11. Stopped at 85...got my result...FAILED!..Devastated. Number really don't have a based on it. They make it hard to pass now..if you know the subject well i guess you have a big chance to pass the stupid test. Review review review..I will take again sometime in May..and this time..i will study my ass off seriously..at least now i know what to expect and not as nervous when i took the damn test.

I am still grieving...but i told myself the second time ..it will be KNOCK OUT!!!

i took my test today and knew that it will stop at 85. and it did. i knew i was doing so bad while i was taking the test. i was freaking clueless and i don't know why. i studied my ass off for the last three months and the questions that came out for me were just idk, something. i cried as soon as i got out of that place. its gonna be really humiliating once i get my results. i graduated top of my class and everybody's expecting me to pass. its just heartbreaking. :(:bluecry1:
