I just took the NCLEX-PN and I'm in a nervous wreck!

Published

I just took the NCLEX-PN yesterday and my heart dropped when it stopped at 85 questions. I am sure about maybe 40 questions but the rest I guessed... I took it in California so there is no way for me to find out my quick result. I'm only in DAY 2 and I'm so anxious! I don't know if I should study or relax... :bluecry1: This is what sucks about having no quick results. But anyway, can anyone tell me how much it is to take the NCLEX-PN the 2nd time in case I did fail my first? Is it the same as the first time, $200?

Thanks. Hope to hear from anyone soon.

Good luck on your 2nd test! ^__^

Btw did you take yours in CA? If so, how long did it take for the results to arrive?

Yes ..I took it in CA, San Jose...next time i will take it in Oakland. You have to wait a month..total

from the date of your exam..Big envelope ..FAILED..

I certainly hope that when my letter comes it is good news, but it not, I hope I have the determination to pick myself back up, dust myself off, and study again full force. Sounds like you are going to persevere and not this test get the best of you. I have a week or so to wait. Took it 2/23 in CA. I'm going to have to just enjoy the time off from studying because the potential reality will be staring me in the eye soon enough. Stay as positive as you can with the studying. I did the Virtual ATI, which was approximately $200. Lots of assessments like in school with an online tutor to get me going and answer my questions. Hope that helps some.

Well if we do get bad news, we'd have to try again. There is no way I'm wasting the school tuition that's already completely paid off. Bleh easier said than done. Ugh... Good luck to you though. :)

I am so nervous. I know everyone says oh if u stop at 85 it means you did good or poorly and I don't know which one I did. I took NCLEX March 2nd and of course I took it in CA and have to wait it seems a lifetime for results:banghead:. I don't know how to occupy my time, I work, spend time with my family but still it stays on my mind. Please keep me updated when you guys get your results in CA because then I can estimate when I will probably get my results. Good Luck to everyone

I took my exam 1/3/09 I answered all 205 questions. I did not pass I'm have rescheduled my exam for next month. To answer you question regarding the fees, yes each time you take the test you have to pay $200 along with the $75 for your ATT.

All of my friends that took the test and stoped at 85 questions passed.

I'm pretty sure you passed.

Good luck to you on ur next exam. i pray that i did pass because i had a nightmare last night that i did not past and i hope that i did.

Hi tri08,

I'll know by next week. I took the nclex pn in ca on 2/23. I had a dream last week that I did pass, although I don't believe in dreams too much. I stopped at 85. Today i'm going to get stuff ready for my yardsale. Having a project to do has helped me keep my mind off the letter to come. If I don't pass I can still be a substitute teacher, which is what I really don't want to be doing, until I pass this thing. I need to count my blessings instead of being negative, which happens every other day it seems. Have a nice day. Good luck to all.

I've been babysitting and working. I've been having thoughts like, "How bad could it have been?" or "I probably did so horrible the computer didn't wanna give me a chance to go up to more than 85." This wait is torture!

My advice is: FORGET ABOUT IT...(COMPLETELY) There are only two possibilities: one you passed the other you didn't pass. One way or the other is fine. You will know soon enough. I'm on the same boat.

its 75 for the re apply fee then 200 for the actual exam. goodluck!

It's easier to say forget about the test than actually doing it. I currently work as a cna so everyday I'm reminded of my exam bc everyone constantly asks have I gotten my results yet. Has anyone called boards to see what day they have processed?
