I just killed a tree

Or close to it. I went through almost a ream of paper to print out all my stuff I need for my classes this week!

LOL. I'm about to do the same! Hey, do what you need to...after all of the "paper" you killed from your wallet to attend NS in the first place, I think ONE tree is worth it!

True! the printing gets less, usually. just a lot of info the first week!

I feel like that all the time. Not necessarily 10 reams, but usually a nice 1-2 inch stack between all of my classes for the week. Some people do everything on the computer...I wish I wasn't so old fashioned, it would make my bag weigh less and reduce the impact on those poor trees. But, I love having everything there where I can flip through it and write/draw on it-especially arrows, I love drawing arrows between things in my notes. I tried notes on the computer for one day. Arrows did not happen, pictures did not happen, but I did manage to get a lot more written the first time through...then I went and printed it off :(

I finally learned after my first semester was completed that it was imperative that I have a laser printer. It cuts down on the costs of printing in the long run and it much more reliable. Our school supplies absolutely nothing as far as paper. Cheapskates, LOL.

Our study guide was almost 50 pages long. I also type and print my notes to study from so I feel your pain!!! Thank God for my printing allowance at school. I might actually use it up this semester lol.

I acctually found it was cheaper to print things off at the schools librbay as compared to my own. You may want to do the math you may find its cheaper as well.

Yup that's what I do. Every semester we get a $40 print allowance. I figure it's built into my tuition. I paid for it so I'm going to use it!!!

I have a laser printer as well. Got it shortly after my first semester! It is cheaper to print from home. My printer prints roughly 2500 pages and costs $68. Lasts about all semester. It costs 10 cents/page at school!

Man! I wish we got a printing allowance! It used to be free up until about 2 years ago. When they first started they gave us $10. That was gone with the first syllabus :/ I don't know if it's renewed every semester or not.

Wow my printer goes through 2 ink cartridges for every reem of paper so it costs me $85 for every 500 page that breaks down to .17 cents a page where as the school only costs .03 cents a page or .06 censt double sided!

Is that an ink jet? Laser printers are the way to go unless you need/like color!

Lolz! This is our saying at my school! We have murdered so many trees due to printing do many things for school. I always promised that's when I get out if school I would plant like 5 big trees in honor of all the ones I personally destroyed in School. Lolz!
