Or close to it. I went through almost a ream of paper to print out all my stuff I need for my classes this week!

Lolz! This is our saying at my school! We have murdered so many trees due to printing do many things for school. I always promised that's when I get out if school I would plant like 5 big trees in honor of all the ones I personally destroyed in School. Lolz!

I'm thinking its not, my parents gave it to me because I needed it for school I think it was one of wally world's $30 specials ;)

Same here! I just printed off a 100-page syllabus for my first class. Granted, it contains a lot of policies and procedures from the nursing handbook, but still. I feel like I need a binder for that alone.

Oh, I print my syllabi and take them to Office Max/Depot and have them bound for about $4! It's almost always in my back pack! The further I go it seems they get smaller. 1st semester was almost 200 pages! :o This semester they are both roughly 70-80 pages.

That's not a bad idea! I'll definitely look into that. Glad to hear they get smaller, too.

If your eyes are still good, you can also print out those HUGE things "two per page"... double-sided, that means you get four pages of material on one sheet of paper.

At the very least, I typically reformat stuff that's able to be edited -- reduce the margins to the limits of the printer, reduce the font, turn off headers/footers, etc. My school's instructors just seem to always go with whatever the default settings are in Microsoft Word... for what we pay, you'd think they could put a LITTLE effort into it, at least!

I can usually get a 50-page document reformatted to 30-35 pages without substantially changing the font size (going from a 12pt to a 10pt, for example, so it's still extremely legible to the naked eye). If it's something that's largely administration-related and not something I'm going to need to actually read ever again (I don't cheat or plagiarize, so I don't need to refer back to the honor code, and I don't bring my kid or talk on my cell phone in class, so I don't need to refer back to the conduct guidelines, etc.), I'll go ahead and shrink that down to a 6pt or even a 4pt. The only stuff I really need are things like the schedule, required textbooks, grading rubrics, etc.
