I am going to Syracuse, NY on Feb 27 - March 1, 2009. Anyone else going there? Anyone have helpful suggestions on this location?
Sorry that I haven't been on the board lately, had a computer crash.:typing

Hey GAnurse, I am driving to Syracuse, live south of Boston, MA near Cape Cod. It is about a 5 hour drive for me.
I mapquested the hotel vs. the hospital, they are very close but I will likely take the hotel shuttle to the hospital and not deal with parking. I think we can check in at 3p. I have read a few journals on EPN about the site and they seem positive. We will likely get babies for peds which is ok by me , just hope we don't get newborns, that is a whole different world of assessment. Guess I will brush up on newborns just in case.
Glad you are flying in early. Suesquatch lives in the area and reports frequent lake effect snow. I am ok with driving in it, but flying is subject to delays.

I got a date for Feb 20-22 at Gwinnette, in Georgia. I haven't heard from anyone else who has tested there or will test there when I look over the EC message boards. I would love to know how to contact someone who will be there at that time..

Good luck! I second the 'leave a day or 2 early to avoid a snow storm' suggestion. Can't wait to hear an update!

Actually, I'm far enough from Syracuse that *I* don't get the snow but I know the area. :)
Maura, I thought you were from Florida, for some reason. You know how to drive in snow, coming from Boston.

Best of luck to you! Please double check the MARs and be careful with your I&Os. Keep your head held high no matter what and knock that CPNE out. :)

Don't forget to wash your hands! People forgeting to wash their hands or something with I&Os is what I saw people most often failed for. Good luck.
