I curse at these people in my head but like I said I can be so fake when it comes to being nice.

You are not making your case any better.

It's the Florence Nightingale pledge...every nurse pledges it when they graduate. It's actually pretty disrespectful if you don't pledge it when you graduate.

That is so wrong on so many levels. Why should I have to pledge to an entity?

Oh my. Okay, I think I'm done here. If you don't want to do anything that is in the description of being a nurse, you should think of another career option.

It's a tradition.

Do you disagree with "one nation, under God" in the pledge of allegiance too?

I was home schooled all my life so I was never required to pledge to a flag.

I never did. It's not required ...at least if you skip the ceremony.

Never said it was required. And obviously you don't say it if you arent there. But if you stand there in a crowd full of people and they are all saying it and you're standing there with your mouth shut...I don't think that looks good.

Okay, over that derailment.

Maybe that's why you have trouble with people? I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything but the few people I've met who have been home schooled (and I'm not trying to make any sweeping generalizations here) have had trouble with and disliked social situations because they made them nervous...they just weren't used to it.

Just curious...for college, did you do your prerequisite courses on campus or online?

So I just wanted to make this thread because after scrolling Allnurses for the last two days I find that threads like these are not common but their are people out there who is just like me and wants to go into nursing. I want to be a nurse because I find that I really like helping people and kids at their weakest points but other than that I hate people.

You don't sound hateful to me. If you were, you wouldn't be voluntarily interacting with people about your feelings on an internet message board. If this is all genuine, I'd describe you as self-centered ...which most people are, although to varying degrees.

Neither. I got accepted into a direct entry nursing program at University of Evansville.

Yeah, I could never talk to you guys in person or you all would all like to kill me. It's actually easier to express myself on the internet and that's why I like ranting.
